Ambient Light LED Module - Door Panel - Rear - LH (2025+) (Remove and Install)

This procedure describes work that is specific to 2025+ Model S.

Remove

  1. Remove the LH rear door trim. See .
    Note
    It is not necessary to separate the LH rear door décor from the door trim.
  2. Remove the LH rear door NVH pad. See .
  3. Remove the LH rear ambient light module from the vehicle.
    1. Release the felt tape that secures the module to the door trim.
    2. Release the tabs (x2) that attach the module to the door trim, and then slide the module upwards to release it.
    3. Disconnect the LH rear ambient light module connectors (x2).

Install

  1. Install the LH rear ambient light module to the vehicle.
    1. Connect the LH rear ambient light module connectors (x2).
    2. Install the tabs (x2) that attach the module to the door trim.
      Note
      Make sure that the tabs are fully engaged.
    3. Install the felt tape that secures the module to the door trim.
