Overlay

  1. Lower both front windows and open both front doors.
  2. Remove the cowl screen. See Panel - Cowl Screen (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove fasteners securing LH V-brace and remove assembly

  4. Place wipers in service mode via UI

    Via Controls > Service > Wiper Service Mode, If wiper module is not in service mode then RH pivot arm will not clear V Brace crossmember
  5. Remove wiper module

    3x bolts, 10mm, 8 Nm, 1x connector, Rotate module forward and up to access connector, Observe LH wiper arm pivot during removal to avoid damage to windshield, Keep your fingers away from any potential pinch points and moving parts while connecting and installing the wiper module, Do not attempt to test the module until it is fully installed in the vehicle
  6. Remove LH mid A-pillar trim

  8. Remove LH footwell cover

  10. Remove LH front floor mat

  13. Remove RH mid A-pillar trim

  20. Release harness from RH footrest panel

  22. Disconnect brown fakra connection from car computer

  23. Raise and support vehicle

    Prepare to raise vehicle, Set air suspension to "Jack Mode", Position lift arm pads on vehicle jack pads
  24. Remove LH front wheel cap

    Lift every other spoke at a time until cap is released from rim
  25. Loosen LH front wheel

    5x nuts, 21mm, 175 Nm
  26. Raise vehicle partially and lower onto locks

    Set vehicle to comfortable working height, Make sure there's an audible click of the locks on both sides before lowering, otherwise vehicle may tilt to the side
  27. Remove LH front wheel

  28. Partially release rear portion of LH rear wheel liner

    5x clips, 1x fan clip, Move liner aside
  29. Disconnect LH front repeater

  30. Release LH grommet from body

    Use a razor blaze, carefully cut electrical tape away to expose rubber dust boot
  31. Remove electrical tape securing harness bundle to rubber dust boot
  32. Remove the connector from the coax cable

    Using drag pin tool, Carefully lift down tab and simultaneously pull coax cable away from connector
  33. Apply harness tape onto LH coax overlay cable before installation

    Use Anti-abrasion tape and wrap the entire length of the coax cable to protect the cable for damage when it is in the vehicle
  34. Position LH coax overlay cable into place, Place through LH wheel liner and dust boot towards interior cabin

    Once the coax is exposed on the other side of the dust boot carefully pull till you have roughly 12 inches of cable towards the interior of the vehicle
  35. Pull LH coax overlay cable through bulkhead and into interior cabin

    Pull harness toward car computer under dashboard
  36. Position LH coax overlay cable onto main dash body harness, Secure cable onto harness using zip ties

    5x zip-ties, Trim off excess material after harness has been secured
  37. Secure coax overlay through LH wheel liner and frunk harness

  38. Depin the RH side coax cable (Terminal 1) from the connector X846

    Verify that you are removing the correct side ( 1 & 2, where 1 is the RH repeater and 2 is the LH repeater. ) Using MDLS drag pin tool set carefully lift the purple locking tab up and out of the connector housing
  39. Insert coax overlay terminal into connector X846
  40. Remove the coax cable from the Connector X846

    Using the drag pin tool carefully lift the hold down tab an simultaneously pull the coax away from the connector
  41. Insert the connector locking tab and reconnect X846 together
  42. Connect brown fakra connection onto car computer

  43. Cut off the vehicle side repeater coax terminal and tape to vehicle harness

    Cut the coax connector only
  44. Connect LH front repeater

    2x connectors, Support repeater from exterior to prevent damage to retaining clips
  45. Secure LH grommet onto body

    Use electrical tape to wrap the end of the dust boot
  46. Secure rear portion of LH rear wheel liner

    5x clips, 1x fan clip, Secure liner
  47. Install LH front wheel

    5x nuts, 21mm, 175 Nm, Start lug nuts by hand before using power tool
  48. Lower vehicle until tires are touching ground

    Raise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered
  49. Torque LH front wheel

  50. Install LH front wheel cap

    Align valve stem with cap
  51. Remove vehicle from lift

    Lower lift arms fully and remove them from under vehicle, Remove air suspension from "Jack Mode"
  52. Fold LH main carpet back into place
  53. Install LH console side carpet

  67. Move RH front seat to original position
  68. Install wiper module

    3x bolts, 10mm, 8 Nm, 1x connector, Secure electrical connector first, Rotate module rearward and under windshield, Observe LH wiper arm pivot during install to avoid damage to windshield, Keep your fingers away from any potential pinch points and moving parts while connecting and installing the wiper module, Do not attempt to test the module until it is fully installed in the vehicle
  69. Install fasteners securing LH V-brace and secure

  70. Install the cowl screen. See Panel - Cowl Screen (Remove and Replace).
  71. Unlock the vehicle gateway. See Gateway (Unlock).
  72. Reset DAS on UI

    Select "Driver Assist" > "Cameras" > "Reset DAS", Ensure all cameras and reset DAS icon turn green on UI, If not you need to investigate further why a the particular DAS component is flagging red
