Fascia Assembly - Rear (Remove and Install)
Correction Code: 10013001 0.48 NOTE: Unless otherwise explicitly stated in the procedure, the above correction code and FRT reflect all of the work required to perform this procedure, including the linked procedures. Remove
- Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
- Set the air suspension ride height to “Very High” and place the vehicle into "Jack Mode".
- Open the hood.
- Open the liftgate.
- Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
- Disconnect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
- Remove the rear trunk parcel shelf. See Parcel Shelf - Rear Trunk (Remove and Replace)
- Remove the trunk load floor.

Remove the side load floor trim.
- Release the clips (x6) that attach the trunk sill trim to the vehicle, and then remove the trim from the vehicle.
- Release the clips (x4) that attach the rear wall trim to the vehicle, and then remove the trim from the vehicle.
- Release the clips (x3) that attach the LH trunk pocket bracket to the vehicle, and then remove the bracket from the vehicle.

Pull the LH trunk side trim forward,
and then secure the trim behind the side wall trim.

Disconnect the LH trunk puddle
lamp.

Remove the butyl patch that covers the
LH access hole.

Remove the LH nut that attaches the
rear fascia assembly to the body.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm deep socket
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- 4 in extension
- Repeat step 12 through step 16 for the RH side of the vehicle.

Remove the push clips (x4) that attach
the LH rear wheel arch liner to the rear fascia, and then move the liner to the side for
access.

Remove the screw that attaches the
rear fascia to the LH fender bracket.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T25 socket
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- 4 in extension
- Repeat steps 18 and 19 for the RH side of the vehicle.

Remove the nuts (x3) that attach the
rear fascia diffuser to the vehicle.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm deep socket
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench

Remove the bolts (x8) and clips (x2)
that attach the rear fascia diffuser to the mid aero shield panel, and then release the
diffuser from the panel.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm deep socket
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench

Release the LH and RH rear fascia
edges from the fender brackets.

Pull the rear fascia assembly rearward
to release it from the body, but do not remove it from the vehicle as there is still an
electrical connector connected.

Pull the red tab to release the
connector lock, and then disconnect the rear fascia electrical connector.
NoteThe connector is located behind RH rear wheel arch liner.

With assistance, remove the rear
fascia assembly from the vehicle, and then place it on a padded surface.
Install

With assistance, install the rear
fascia assembly onto the vehicle.
NoteRoute the fascia harness during installation. Verify that the rear diffuser sits under the mid aero shield panel before proceeding.

Connect the rear fascia electrical
connector, and then engage the connector lock.
NoteThe connector is located behind RH rear wheel arch liner.

Secure the rear fascia assembly onto
the body, and secure the fascia edges onto the fender brackets.

Apply Loctite 222 to the bolts, and
then install the bolts (x8) and clips (x2) that attach the rear fascia diffuser to the
mid aero shield panel.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm deep socket
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench

Install the nuts (x3) that attach the
rear fascia diffuser to the vehicle.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm deep socket
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench

Install the screw that attaches the
rear fascia to the RH fender bracket.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T25 socket
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- 4 in extension

Install the push clips (x4) that
attach the LH rear wheel arch liner to the rear fascia.
- Repeat steps 6 and 7 for the LH side of the vehicle.

Install the LH nut that attaches the
rear fascia assembly to the body.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm deep socket
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- 4 in extension

Install the butyl patch that covers
the LH access hole.

Connect the LH trunk puddle
lamp.
-
Move the LH trunk side trim back into
position.
- Position the LH trunk pocket bracket on the vehicle, and then install the clips (x4) that attach the bracket to the vehicle.

Install the side load floor
trim.
- Repeat step 9 through step 14 for the RH side of the vehicle.
- Position the rear wall trim on the vehicle, and then install the clips (x4) that attach the trim to the vehicle.
- Position the trunk sill trim on the vehicle, and then install the clips (x6) that attach the trim to the vehicle.
- Install the trunk load floor.
- Install the rear trunk parcel shelf. See Parcel Shelf - Rear Trunk (Remove and Replace)
- Connect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
- Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
- Close the hood.
- Remove the air suspension from "Jack Mode" and set to "Standard".
- Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
