Remove
- Open the RH front door and lower the RH front window.
- Move the front passenger seat backward.
- Remove the RH front floor mat.
- Remove the RH center console side panel carpet. See Carpet - Side Panel - Center Console - LH (Remove and Replace).

Remove the screws (x2) that attach the
HVAC case 2nd row bypass actuator to the HVAC assembly, and then remove the actuator
from the assembly.2.3 Nm (1.7 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- T20 bit
- Disconnect the HVAC case 2nd row bypass actuator electrical connector, release the wiring harness from the HVAC assembly, and then remove the actuator from the vehicle.
Install
- Position the HVAC case 2nd row bypass actuator into the vehicle, connect the electrical connector, and then secure the wiring harness to the HVAC assembly.

Install the screws (x2) that attach
the HVAC case 2nd row bypass actuator to the HVAC assembly.2.3 Nm (1.7 lbs-ft)NoteThe actuator is keyed to the HVAC assembly. Ensure the correct alignment before installing the screws.TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- T20 bit
- Install the RH center console side panel carpet. See Carpet - Side Panel - Center Console - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Install the RH front floor mat.
- Move the front passenger seat to the original position.
- Raise the RH front window and close the RH front door.
