Stabilizer Bar - Front (Remove and Replace)

Torque Specifications

70 Nm (51.6 lbs-ft)
  • 15 mm combination wrench
  • 5 mm hex
Replace PN - 1659754-00-A
Nuts (x4) that attach the front stabilizer bar to the front subframe assembly
50 Nm (36.9 lbs-ft)
  • 15 mm deep socket
Replace Access to these bolts require front subframe drop. PN - 1659754-00-A

Remove

  1. Remove the front subframe assembly. See Subframe Assembly - Front (Remove and Install).
  2. Remove and discard the nuts (x4) that attach the front stabilizer bar to the front subframe assembly.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 15 mm deep socket

    Note
    Discard the nuts after removal.

Install

  1. Install new nuts (x4) that attach the front stabilizer bar to the front subframe assembly.
    50 Nm (36.9 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 15 mm deep socket
  2. Install the front subframe assembly. See Subframe Assembly - Front (Remove and Install).
  3. Refer to the Alignment Requirement tables to determine whether an EPAS alignment check (EC) or four wheel alignment check (AC) is necessary. If performed, add the alignment check/adjust as a separate activity. See Alignment Requirement - Suspension.
