Link - Stabilizer Bar - Front - LH (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. On the touchscreen, touch Controls > Service > Jack Mode to enable Jack Mode.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
  3. Remove the LH front wheel. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
  4. Remove and discard the nut that attaches the LH front stabilizer bar end link to stabilizer bar, then rotate the end link to the side.

    Note
    Counter hold the stud with a 5mm hex socket and use the wrench to remove the nut.
    Tip: Move the stabilizer bar assembly up and down as need to remove the end link.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 15 mm combination wrench
    • 5 mm hex
  5. Remove and discard the nut that attaches the front stabilizer bar end link to the LH front knuckle, and then remove the link from the vehicle.

    Note
    Counter hold the stud with a 5mm hex socket and use the wrench to remove the nut.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 15 mm socket
    • 5 mm hex

Install

  1. Position the LH front stabilizer bar link to the knuckle, and then install a new nut that attaches the link to the knuckle.
    70 Nm (51.6 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use a 5mm hex tool to keep the stud from spinning.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 15 mm socket
    • 5 mm hex
  2. Position the LH front stabilizer bar link to the stabilizer bar, and then install a new nut that attaches the link to the stabilizer bar.
    70 Nm (51.6 lbs-ft)

    Note
    Counter hold the stud with a 5mm hex socket and use the wrench.
    Tip: Move the stabilizer bar assembly up and down as need to align the end link.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 15 mm combination wrench
    • 5 mm hex
  3. Install the LH front wheel. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
  4. Remove the vehicle from the lift. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
  5. On the touchscreen, touch Controls > Service > Jack Mode to disable Jack Mode.
