Hose - Supermanifold To Offboard Battery Pump (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
  2. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  3. Disconnect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  4. Remove the LV battery. See Battery - LV (Remove and Replace).
  5. Remove the RH underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - LH (Remove and Replace).
  6. Disconnect the battery coolant temperature sensor electrical connector.

    Note
    Disengage the red locking tab and slide the tab outwards to disconnect it.
  7. Place absorbent material under the battery coolant pump.
  8. Place absorbent material above the front drive unit and under the coolant hoses at rear of the supermanifold.
  9. Release the clip, disconnect the supermanifold to offboard battery pump hose from the battery coolant pump, then immediately plug both fittings.
  10. Release the clip, disconnect the supermanifold to offboard battery pump hose from the supermanifold, then immediately plug both fittings.
  11. Remove the supermanifold to offboard battery pump hose from the vehicle.

Install

  1. Remove the plugs, immediately connect the supermanifold to offboard battery pump hose to the supermanifold, then fasten the clip.

    Note
    Perform a push-pull-push test on the fittings to make sure that they are secure.
  2. Remove the plugs, immediately connect the supermanifold to offboard battery pump hose to thebattery coolant pump, then fasten the clip.

  3. Remove absorbent material from under the battery coolant pump and wipe off any residue.
  4. Connect the battery coolant temperature sensor electrical connector.
  5. Remove absorbent material from above the front drive unit and under the coolant hoses at rear of the supermanifold
  6. Install the LV battery. See Battery - LV (Remove and Replace).
  7. Connect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  8. Perform the cooling system (partial refill and bleed) procedure. See Cooling System (Partial Refill and Bleed).
  9. Install the RH underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - LH (Remove and Replace).
  10. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  11. Remove the vehicle from the 2 post lift. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
