Harness - Chassis - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace)

Correction code 17107302 0.30 NOTE: Unless otherwise explicitly stated in the procedure, the above correction code and FRT reflect all of the work required to perform this procedure, including the linked procedures. Do not stack correction codes unless explicitly told to do so. NOTE: See Flat Rate Times to learn more about FRTs and how they are created. Remove

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
  2. Remove the LH rear wheel. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
  3. Disconnect the Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) harness connector to the LH rear caliper motor.

    CAUTION
    DO NOT push down on the red locking tab. Pull the tab away from the connector until the connector is unlocked, and then continue pulling to release the connector.
  4. Disconnect the electrical harness from the LH rear active damper connectors (x2) and release the grommet that attaches the electrical harness to the damper.
  5. Release the clip that attaches the electrical harness to the LH rear knuckle.
  6. Remove the bolt that attaches the wheel speed sensor to the LH rear knuckle.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T30 socket
  7. Disconnect the LH rear ANC sensor electrical connector.

    CAUTION
    DO NOT push down on the red locking tab. Pull the tab away from the connector until the connector is unlocked, and then continue pulling to release the connector.
  8. Release the clips (x3) that attach the LH chassis harness to the harness guide.
  9. Remove the clip that attaches the chassis harness to the LH rear lower aft link.
  10. Release the clips (x5) and fan clip to release the rear portion of the LH rear wheel liner, and then move the liner aside.
  11. Release the clips (x3) that attach the LH chassis harness to the subframe and body.
  12. Release the connector lock, disconnect the LH rear chassis harness electrical connector, and then remove the harness from the vehicle.

    CAUTION
    DO NOT push down on the red locking tab. Pull the tab away from the connector until the connector is unlocked, and then continue pulling to release the connector.

Install

  1. Position the LH rear chassis harness into the vehicle, connect the electrical connector, and then engage the connector lock.
  2. Install the clips (x3) that attach the LH chassis harness to the subframe and body.
  3. Install the clips (x5) and fan clip to that attach the rear portion of the LH rear wheel liner to the vehicle.
  4. Install the clip that attaches the chassis harness to the LH rear lower aft link.
  5. Install the clips (x3) that attach the LH chassis harness to the harness guide.
  6. Connect the electrical harness to the LH rear ANC sensor.

    CAUTION
    Push the red locking tab into the connector to engage the connector lock.
  7. Install the bolt that attaches the wheel speed sensor to the LH rear knuckle.
    5 Nm (3.7 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T30 socket
  8. Position the clip that attaches the electrical harness to the LH rear knuckle.
  9. Fasten the grommet that attaches the electrical harness to the damper, and then connect the electrical harness to the LH rear active damper connectors (x2).
  10. Connect the LH EPB caliper harness connector.

    CAUTION
    Push the red locking tab into the connector to engage the locking mechanism. DO NOT push down or pull up on the red locking tab.
  11. Install the LH rear wheel. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
  12. Remove the vehicle from the lift. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
