Hinge - Door - Front - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Use a floor jack to support the LH front door.

    CAUTION
    Protect painted surfaces with a soft surface.
  2. Remove the bolts that attach the LH lower front door hinge to the door assembly.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 13mm combination wrench
  3. Remove the bolts that attach the LH lower front door hinge to the body.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 13mm combination wrench
  4. Remove the LH lower front door hinge.

Install

  1. Position the LH lower front door hinge into the vehicle.
  2. Install the bolts that attach the LH lower front door hinge to the body.
    52 Nm (38.3 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 13mm combination wrench
  3. Install the bolts that attach the LH lower front door hinge to the door assembly.
    31 Nm (22.9 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 13mm combination wrench
  4. Remove the floor jack from the LH front door.
  5. Check gap and flushness of the LH front door to surrounding components.

    Refer to CVIS for current gap/flush targets.
  6. Use IPA wipes to clean the body side lower hinge bolts.

    Allow 1 minute of dry time.
  7. Apply touch up paint to the body side lower hinge bolts as necessary.
