Hose - Supermanifold To Offboard Powertrain Pump (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
  2. Remove the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Install).
  3. Disconnect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  4. Remove the front aero shield. See Panel - Aero Shield - Front (Remove and Replace).
  5. Place a coolant catcher under the front of vehicle.
  6. Place absorbent material under the powertrain coolant pump.

    Note
    Place absorbent material to prevent EPAS electrical connectors from coolant ingress.
  7. Release the clip, disconnect the supermanifold to offboard powertrain pump hose from the powertrain coolant pump, then immediately plug both fittings.
  8. Release the clip, disconnect the supermanifold to offboard powertrain pump hose from the supermanifold, then immediately plug both fittings.
  9. Remove the supermanifold to offboard powertrain pump hose from the vehicle.

Install

  1. Remove the plugs, immediately connect the supermanifold to offboard powertrain pump hose to the supermanifold, then fasten the clip.

    Note
    Perform a push-pull-push test on the fittings to make sure that they are secure.
  2. Remove the plugs, immediately connect the supermanifold to offboard powertrain pump hose to the powertrain coolant pump, then fasten the clip.

    Perform a push-pull-push test on the fittings to make sure that they are secure.
  3. Remove the absorbent material from under the powertrain coolant pump and wipe off any residue.
  4. Remove the coolant catcher from under the vehicle.
  5. Install the front aero shield. See Panel - Aero Shield - Front (Remove and Replace).
  6. Connect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  7. Perform the cooling system (partial refill and bleed) procedure. See Cooling System (Partial Refill and Bleed).
  8. Install the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Install).
  9. Remove the vehicle from the 2 post lift. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
