Air Wave Assembly - Center Console (Remove and Replace)

Remove
- Open all the doors and lower the LH front window.
- Move the front seats forward.
- Remove the center console lower rear panel. See Panel - Lower Rear - Center Console (Remove and Replace).

Release the clips (x4) that attach the
rear portion of the LH center console side panel to the center console assembly, and
then wedge a shop towel between the panel and center console assembly to hold the panel
away from the assembly. Repeat this step for the RH center console side panel.

Remove the screws (x4) that attach the
center console air wave cap to the center console, pull the air wave cap rearward and to
the right to access the electrical connector, and then disconnect the electrical
connector.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- T20 bit

Release the screw that attaches the
center console air wave cap ground harness to the air wave cap, and then remove the air
wave cap from the center console assembly.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- T20 bit

Disconnect the electrical connectors
(x5) and release the clip that attaches the center console wiring harness to the center
console air wave assembly and actuators.

Remove the screws (x5) that attach the
center console air wave assembly to the center console, and then pull the air wave
assembly straight rearward and rotate it to the left to access the air duct temperature
sensor harness.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- T20 bit

Disconnect the electrical connector,
release the clip that attaches the center console air wave assembly to the center
console, and then remove the air wave assembly from the center console.
Install

Position the center console air wave assembly onto the center console, connect the
electrical connector, and then secure the clip that attaches the air wave assembly to
the center console.

Install the screws (x5) that attach the center console air wave assembly to the
center console.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- T20 bit

Connect the electrical connectors (x5) and secure the clip that attaches the center
console wiring harness to the center console air wave assembly and actuators.

Position the center console air wave cap into the center console, position the center
console air wave cap ground harness onto the air wave cap, and then fasten the screw
that attaches the air wave cap ground wire to the air wave cap.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- T20 bit

Position the center console air wave cap onto the center console, connect the
electrical connector, align the air wave cap with the center console, and then install
the screws (x4) that attach the air wave cap to the center console.NoteInsert the air wave cap straight forward to align it to the center console.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- T20 bit

Remove the shop towels from the LH and
RH center console side panels, and then secure the clips (x8) that attach the LH and RH
side panels to the center console.
- Install the center console lower rear panel. See Panel - Lower Rear - Center Console (Remove and Replace).
- Close the RH rear door.
- Move the front passenger seat to the original position.
- Close the RH front door.
- Move the driver seat to the original position.
- Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle.
- In Toolbox, click the Actions tab, and then search for "Airwave".

Click AIRWAVE - SECOND ROW
LEFT, and then click Run and allow the routine to
complete.
NoteClick the "X" at the top right of window to close once complete.

Click AIRWAVE - SECOND ROW RIGHT, and then click
Run and allow the routine to complete.
NoteClick the "X" at the top right of window to close once complete.
- Disconnect Toolbox 3 and remove the laptop from the vehicle.
- Raise the LH front window and close the LH doors.
