Clean the abutment pads area on the LH
rear brake caliper.
NoteUse IPA wipe to clean the area, allow 1 minute dry time.
-
Install new abutment pads (x2) to the
LH rear brake caliper.
NotePeel off the backing and install the pads with approximately 1 mm distance to the edge. Make sure the double sided tape mates onto the caliper.
-
Apply tape on the friction surface of
the new rear brake pads.
-
Verify the position of the pads
NoteNote the position on the side of the pad. Position is described on the S/N of the floating clip-on shims of the pad and ending with "L" or "R". This step required due to removal of the floating clip-on shims in a later step
