Carrier - Seal - Front - B-Pillar - LH (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open the LH doors and lower the LH windows.
  2. Remove the LH B-pillar applique. See Applique - B-Pillar - LH (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the clips (x2) that attach the LH front body side primary seal to the B-Pillar panel.
  4. Release the LH front body side primary seal from the bright molding.
  5. Release the rear portion of the LH front body side primary seal from the front upper body side B-pillar carrier.
  6. Drill out the rivets (x2) that secure the LH front upper body side B-Pillar carrier, and then remove the rivets from vehicle. Use a punch to remove the remaining portion of the rivets.

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 4.5 mm drill bit
  7. Remove any remaining debris from the B-pillar, and then use an IPA wipe to clean the body.

    Note
    Allow 1 minute for dry time.

Install

  1. Position the LH front upper body side B-Pillar carrier onto vehicle, and then install the rivets (PN: 1705662-99-A) (x2) that secure the carrier to the body.

    Note
    Ensure the foam strip is against the body.
  2. Align the rear portion of the LH front body side primary seal onto the vehicle, and then secure the clips (x2) that attach the seal to the body.

    Ensure the front primary seal is seated properly along the front upper body side B-Pillar carrier.
  3. Install the LH B-pillar applique. See Applique - B-Pillar - LH (Remove and Replace).
