Brake Rotor - Front - LH (Remove and Replace)

Remove
- Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
- Remove the LH front wheel. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).

Remove the bolt that attaches the
brake hose to the LH front knuckle.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket

Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the
front brake caliper to the knuckle, and then allow the caliper to hang from the body
using S-hooks.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 21 mm socket

If installled, remove and discard the
bolt that attaches the LH front rotor to the front knuckle.
NoteSome vehicles may not have this bolt installed from the factory.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 13 mm socket

Remove the LH front rotor from the
hub.
Install

Install the LH front rotor to the
hub.
NoteIt is not necessary to install the bolt that attaches the rotor to the hub.

Clean the surfaces of the LH front
brake rotor with brake cleaner, and then wipe the surface with a lint-free towel.

Install the bolts (x2) that attach the
front brake caliper to the knuckle.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 21 mm socket

Install the bolt that attaches the
brake hose bracket to the LH front knuckle.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket
- Install the LH front wheel. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).

Burnish the brake pads. See Brake Pads - Burnishing
