Grille - Fascia - Front (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the front fascia assembly. See Fascia Assembly - Front (Remove and Install).
  2. Release clips (x6) that attach the wiring harness to the front fascia grille.

  3. Disconnect the pedestrian warning speaker electrical connector, and then release the clip that attaches the warning speaker to the front fascia.

    Note
    DO NOT push down on the red locking tab. Pull the tab away from the connector until the connector is unlocked, and then continue pulling to release the connector.
  4. Remove clips (x8) that attach the valance to the front fascia assembly.
  5. Remove the nuts that attach the valance to the front fascia assembly, and then remove the valance from the assembly.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm deep socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench

    Note
    Release LH and RH corners of the valance from the fascia to release it from the assembly.
  6. Remove the screws (x2) that attach the front fascia grille to the front fascia assembly.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T25 socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • 4 in extension
  7. Release the tabs (x11) that attach the front fascia grille to the front fascia assembly, and then remove the grille from the assembly.

Install

  1. Position the front fascia grille onto the front fascia assembly, and then install the screws (x2) that attach the grille to the front fascia.
    3 Nm (2.2 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T25 socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • 4 in extension
  2. Position the valance onto the front fascia assembly, and then install the nuts (x2) that attach the valance to the fascia assembly.
    3 Nm (2.2 lbs-ft)

    Note
    Interlock the valance tabs with the fascia tabs.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm deep socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
  3. Install clips (x8) that attach the valance to the front fascia assembly.

    Note
    Hold the fascia tabs flush with the valance if necessary.
  4. Install the clip that attaches the pedestrian warning speaker wiring harness to the front fascia assembly, connect the speaker electrical connector, and then engage the connector lock.
  5. Position the wiring harness onto the front fascia grille, and then fasten the clips (x6) that attach the harness to the grille.
  6. Install the front fascia assembly. See Fascia Assembly - Front (Remove and Install).
