Fixed Glass - Front - LH (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the LH front door trim decor. See Decor - Trim - Front Door - LH (Remove and Replace).
  2. Remove the LH front door panel. See Panel - Door Trim - Front - LH (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the LH front door outer belt seal. See Seal - Outer Belt - Front Door - LH (Remove and Replace).
  4. Remove the LH front door inner belt seal. See Seal - Inner Belt - Front Door - LH (Remove and Replace).
  5. Disconnect the door mirror assembly electrical connector, and then release the clip that attaches the electrical harness to the door.
  6. Remove the fir tree clip on the door flap seal to gain access to the door mirror assembly bolts.
  7. Remove the bolts (x3) that attach the door mirror assembly to the door.
    18 Nm (13.3 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 13 mm socket
  8. Remove the foam seal from the door mirror assembly, and then remove the mirror from the vehicle.

    Note
    Carefully lift straight up to remove the door mirror assembly from the vehicle.
  9. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the door mirror assembly to the LH front quarter glass assembly.
    6 Nm (4.4 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T30 socket
  10. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the LH front quarter glass guide rail to the door mirror assembly.
    6 Nm (4.4 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T30 socket
  11. Remove the front LH quarter glass from the door mirror assembly.

Install

  1. Install the bolts (x2) that attach the door mirror assembly to the front LH quarter glass.
    6 Nm (4.4 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T30 socket
  2. Install the bolts (x2) that attach the front LH quarter glass guide rail to the door mirror assembly.
    6 Nm (4.4 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T30 socket
  3. Install the bolts (x3) that attach the door mirror assembly to the door.
    18 Nm (13.3 lbs-ft)

    Note
    Align the guide rail onto the front laminated side glass.

    CAUTION
    Make sure the electrical harness connector is inboard of the door. Failure to install the fasteners using the following sequence can result in NVH issues.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 13 mm socket
  4. Install the foam seal onto the exterior mirror assembly.
  5. Install the foam seal onto the door mirror assembly.
  6. Connect the door mirror electrical connector, and then secure the harness clip onto the door.
  7. Install the LH front door inner belt seal. See Seal - Inner Belt - Front Door - LH (Remove and Replace).
  8. Install the LH front door outer belt seal. See Seal - Outer Belt - Front Door - LH (Remove and Replace).
  9. Install the LH front door trim panel. See Panel - Door Trim - Front - LH (Remove and Replace).
  10. Install the LH front door decor. See Decor - Trim - Front Door - LH (Remove and Replace).
