Remove

  1. Open all the doors and open all the windows.
  2. Set the air suspension ride height to “Very High” through the touchscreen.
  3. Open the hood.
  4. Open the liftgate.
  5. Remove the LH and RH front floor mats.
  6. Remove the driver and front passenger seats. See Seat Assembly - 1st Row - LH (Remove and Replace) and Seat Assembly - 1st Row - RH (Remove and Replace).
  7. Remove the driver and front passenger seat outer risers. See Riser - Outer - Driver Seat (Remove and Replace).
  8. Remove the LH and RH middle A-pillar trims. See Trim - A-Pillar - Middle - LH (Remove and Replace).
  9. Remove the LH and RH lower A-pillar trims. See Trim - A-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
  10. Remove the driver and passenger footwell covers. See Cover - Footwell - Driver (Remove and Replace) and Cover - Footwell - Passenger (Remove and Replace).
  11. Remove the LH and RH center console side panel carpets. See Carpet - Side Panel - Center Console - LH (Remove and Replace).
  12. Remove the driver knee airbag. See Knee Airbag - Driver (Remove and Replace).
  13. Fold the LH front cabin carpet aside for access.
  14. Fold the RH front cabin carpet aside for access.
  15. Remove the front passenger footrest panel. See Panel - Footrest - Front Passenger (LHD) (Remove and Replace).
  16. Remove the LH and RH 2nd row seat outer bolsters. See Bolster - Outer - Seat - 2nd Row - LH (Remove and Replace).
  17. Remove the 2nd row lower seat cushion. See Seat Cushion - Lower - 2nd Row (Remove and Replace).
  18. Remove the rear trunk parcel shelf. See Parcel Shelf - Rear Trunk (Remove and Replace).
  19. Remove the rear trunk load floor. See Trunk Load Floor - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  20. Remove the side trunk load floor. See Trunk Load Floor - Side (Remove and Replace).
  21. Remove the trunk sill trim. See Trim - Sill - Trunk (Remove and Replace).
  22. Remove the rear wall rear trunk trim. See Trim - Rear Trunk - Rear Wall (Remove and Replace).
  23. Remove the LH trunk load floor bracket. See Bracket - Trunk Load Floor - LH (Remove and Replace).
  24. Remove the LH lower C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
  25. Remove the LH mid C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Mid - LH (Remove and Replace).
  26. Remove the LH lower B-pillar trim. See Trim - B-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
  27. Remove the LH upper B-pillar trim. See Trim - B-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace).
  28. Release the LH upper C-pillar trim, and then set it aside. See Trim - C-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace).

    Do not remove the lower bolt that attaches the LH 2nd row seat belt retractor.
  29. Remove the LH trunk side trim. See Trim - Side - Trunk - LH (Remove and Replace).
  30. Disconnect the LH door harness electrical connectors (x2) and clip from the LH body controller module.
  31. Disconnect the IP harness electrical connector and clip by the LH body controller module.

  32. Disconnect the electrical connector on the LH body controller module.

  33. Disconnect the J1/J2 X030A/B Body 1 electrical connector.

    Release the lock, and then remove.
  34. Disconnect the J4 X032 Body 3 electrical connector.
  35. Disconnect the J6/J7 X038A/B Body 5 electrical connector.

  36. Disconnect the J5 X034 Body 4 electrical connector.

  37. Disconnect the J3 X031 Body 2 electrical connector.

  38. Disconnect the J8 X039 Body 6 electrical connector.
  39. Remove the LH upper A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace).
  40. Disconnect the headliner electrical harness at the LH front A-pillar.
  41. Release the clips (x4) for the A-pillar branch of the LH body harness.

    Release the clips and route the harness branch down.
  42. Remove the bolt that attaches the LH body harness ground to the lower A-pillar.
    9 Nm (6.6 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm deep socket
  43. Release the clips (x3) that attach the LH body harness bracket to the LH body controller module and body.
  44. Release the tab for the driver floor jumper air duct.
  45. Disconnect the LH body harness from the brake switch.
  46. Disconnect the accelerator pedal electrical connector.

    Note
    Do not push down on red tab. Pull the red tab to disengage the lock, and then pull again to release the electrical connector.
  47. Release the harness clip that attaches the LH body harness to the pedal assembly.
  48. Release the clips (x2) that attach the LH body harness to the driver footwell.
  49. Remove the LH toeboard bracket. See Bracket - Toeboard - LH (Remove and Replace).
  50. Release the clips (x2) that attach the LH body harness under the instrument panel.
  51. Disconnect the Restraint Control Module (RCM) electrical connectors.

    Disconnect the right connector first by swinging the release arm up, and then disconnect the left connector in same manner.
  52. Disconnect the LH body harness connector and clip by the passenger footwell area.

    Route the harness back towards the driver side.
  53. Disconnect the LH body harness electrical connectors (x2) and clip by the passenger side center console.

  54. Disconnect the RH body harness electrical connectors (x3) from the LH body harness under the RH front carpet.

    Release the red locking tabs.
  55. Release the clips (x4) that attach the LH body harness to the passenger seat area.

    Route the harness back towards the driver side.
  56. Release the clips (x9) that attach the LH body harness to the LH driver side area.

    Route any branches out as required.
  57. Disconnect the B-pillar accelerometer electrical connector.

    Disengage the red tab, and then pull the red tab outwards again to release.
  58. Disconnect the LH front retractor electrical connectors (x2).

    x2 tabs per connector. Simultaneously disengage the tabs on both sides of each connector to release the housing.
  59. Disconnect the LH body harness connector and clip to the LH rear door.

    Route the harness out from the B-pillar.
  60. Remove the LH B-pillar applique. See Applique - B-Pillar - LH (Remove and Replace).
  61. Release the clips (x5) that attach the LH body harness to the B-pillar.

    Route away as needed.
  62. Release the clips (x5) that attach the LH body harness to the 2nd row seat area.
  63. Disconnect the RH body harness electrical connectors (x2) from the LH body harness under the 2nd row seat cushion.

    Release the red locking tab.
  64. Disconnect the 2nd row LH seat belt buckle electrical connector.
  65. Release the clips (x2) that attach the LH body harness for 2nd row seat belt buckle branch.

    Route the electrical harness branch out from under the busbar.
  66. Remove the LH C-pillar latch closeout panel. See Closeout Panel - Latch - C-Pillar - LH (Remove and Replace).
  67. Disconnect the LH rear door latch assembly electrical connector.

    Release the locking tab.
  68. Remove the bolt that attaches the LH body harness ground to the C-pillar.
    9 Nm (6.6 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  69. Remove the LH sun visor. See Sun Visor - LH (Remove and Replace).
  70. Push open the LH coat hook.
  71. Pry open the LH coat hook screw cover by releasing the tabs (x2).
  72. Remove the screw that attaches the LH coat hook.
    2.5 Nm (1.8 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T25 bit
  73. Remove the LH bolt that attaches the rear of the headliner to the body.
    3 Nm (2.2 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  74. Release the clips (x4), tether clips (x3) and hook to partially remove the headliner from the LH side body.

    Headliner will be supported by the tethers when released.

    Push upward and inward to release the hooks on the coat hook assemblies from the body.
  75. Disconnect the LH side curtain airbag electrical connector.

    Pull back on the tab to release the electrical connector from the LH side curtain airbag assembly.
  76. Release the clips (x7) that attach the LH body harness to the curtain airbag.

    Route the harness away but take note of original routing as it will need to be re-routed correctly during installation.
  77. Release the clips (x5) that attach the LH body harness to the C-pillar area.
  78. Disconnect the LH body harness connector from the charge port ECU.
  79. Disconnect the LH taillight electrical connector.
  80. Release the clips (x4) that attach the LH body harness to the LH trunk area.

    Take note of harness routing for install.
  81. Remove the push clips (x4) that attach the LH rear wheel arch liner to the fascia, and then move it to the side for access.
  82. Remove the screw that attaches the rear fascia to the LH fender bracket.
    5 Nm (3.7 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T25 bit

    Note
    Flex the liner against the tire.
  83. Release the LH rear fascia edge from the fender bracket.

    If required, protect with a towel to prevent marring.
  84. Remove the bolts (x4) and nut that attach the diffuser at the LH rear corner.
    5 Nm (3.7 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
    • 10 mm combination wrench
  85. Disconnect the LH body harness electrical connectors (x3) and release the clips (x3) to the rear subframe and chassis harness.

    Disengage the red locking tabs, and then release the electrical connectors and clips.

    If it is required, release the electrical connectors from the clip, and then remove the clips afterwards.
  86. Release the clips (x2) that attach the LH body harness clips for the rear subframe branch.
  87. Release the LH body harness grommet from the trunk and feed the harness out.
  88. Remove the LH body harness from the vehicle.

    Note the original harness routing. Maneuver out any remaining branches and remove harness from vehicle. Route out behind the busbar and retractor.

Install

  1. Install the LH body harness to the vehicle.

    Position the harness for installation: Route it behind retractor and the busbar, and then return to its original routing.
  2. Secure the LH body harness grommet in the trunk and feed the harness in.
  3. Fasten the LH body harness clips (x2) for the subframe and tow hitch branch.
  4. Connect the LH body harness electrical connectors (x3) to the rear subframe and chassis harness.

    Secure the clips (x3) and electrical connectors (x3), and then engage the red locking tabs.
  5. Install the bolts (x4) and nut that attach the diffuser at the LH rear corner.
    5 Nm (3.7 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
    • 10 mm combination wrench
  6. Secure the LH rear fascia edge onto the body.
  7. Install the screw that attaches the rear fascia to the LH fender bracket.
    5 Nm (3.7 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T25 bit
  8. Install the push clips (x5) that attach the LH rear wheel arch liner to the rear fascia.
  9. Fasten the clips (x4) that attach the LH body harness to the LH trunk area.
  10. Connect the LH taillight electrical connector.
  11. Connect the LH body harness onto the charge port ECU.
  12. Fasten the LH body harness clips (x5) to the C-pillar area.
  13. Fasten the clips (x7) that attach the LH body harness to the curtain airbag.

    Route the harness in and return it to its original location.
  14. Connect the LH side curtain airbag electrical connector.

    Secure the safety lock.
  15. Release the tether clips (x3) from the LH roof body.
  16. Fasten the LH tether clips to the headliner.

    Listen for an audible click when seated properly.
  17. Remove the bolt, and then release the clip that attaches the LH coat hook bracket to the body.
    1 Nm (.7 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 bit
  18. Install the bolt and tether the LH coat hook bracket to the headliner.
    1 Nm (.7 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 bit

    Secure bolt and tether to the bracket, and then pivot the bracket onto the headliner tabs (x3).
  19. Install the screw that attaches the LH coat hook.
    2.5 Nm (1.8 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T25 bit
  20. Close the LH coat hook screw cover.

  21. Install the partially released headliner to the LH side body.

  22. Install the LH bolt that attaches the rear headliner to the body.
    3 Nm (2.2 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  23. Install the LH sun visor. See Sun Visor - LH (Remove and Replace).
  24. Install the bolt that attaches the LH body harness ground to the C-pillar.
    9 Nm (6.6 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  25. Connect the LH rear door latch assembly electrical connector.

  26. Install the LH C-pillar latch closeout panel. See Closeout Panel - Latch - C-Pillar - LH (Remove and Replace).
  27. Fasten the clips (x2) that attach the LH body harness for the 2nd row seat belt buckle branch.

    Route the branch under the busbar.
  28. Connect the 2nd row LH seat belt buckle electrical connector.
  29. Connect the RH body harness electrical connectors (x2) to the LH body harness under 2nd row seat cushion.

    Secure the red locking tab.
  30. Fasten the clips (x5) that attach the LH body harness to the second row seat area.
  31. Fasten the LH body harness clips (x5) to the B-pillar.
  32. Install the LH B-pillar applique. See Applique - B-Pillar - LH (Remove and Replace).
  33. Connect the LH body harness connector and fasten the clip to the LH rear door.

    Tuck the harness back into the B-pillar.
  34. Connect the LH front retractor electrical connectors (x2).

    Fully secure the electrical connectors and verify that they are properly seated.
  35. Connect the B-pillar accelerometer electrical connector.

  36. Fasten the clips (x9) that attach the LH body harness to the LH driver side area.

  37. Fasten the clips (x4) that attach the LH body harness to the passenger seat area.

  38. Connect the RH body harness electrical connectors (x3) to the LH body harness under the RH front carpet.

  39. Connect the LH body harness electrical connectors (x2) and clip by the passenger side center console.

  40. Connect the LH body harness connector and clip by the passenger footwell area.

  41. Install the clips (x2) that attach the LH body harness beneath the instrument panel.
  42. Connect the RCM electrical connectors.

    Connect the left connector first by aligning connector and swinging release arm down, and then align the right connector and connect in same manner.
  43. Install the LH toeboard bracket. See Bracket - Toeboard - LH (Remove and Replace).
  44. Fasten the clips (x2) that attach the LH body harness to the driver footwell.
  45. Fasten the LH body harness clip to the pedal assembly.
  46. Connect the LH body harness to the brake switch electrical connector.
  47. Connect the accelerator pedal electrical connector.

  49. Fasten the LH body harness bracket clips (x3) onto the VC left and body.
  50. Install the bolt that attaches the LH body harness ground onto the lower A-pillar.
    9 Nm (6.6 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  51. Fasten the clips (x4) for the A-pillar branch of the LH side body harness.

  52. Connect the headliner harness electrical connector at the LH front of the A-pillar.
  53. Install the LH upper A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace).
  54. Connect the J8 X039 Body 6 electrical connector.
  55. Connect the J3 X031 Body 2 electrical connector.

  62. Connect the LH door harness electrical connectors (x2) and clip to the VC left.

  64. Install the LH upper C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace).
  65. Install the LH upper B-pillar trim. See Trim - B-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace).
  66. Install the LH lower B-pillar trim. See Trim - B-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
  67. Install the LH mid C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Mid - LH (Remove and Replace).
  68. Install the LH lower C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
  69. Install the LH trunk load floor bracket. See Bracket - Trunk Load Floor - LH (Remove and Replace).

  76. Install the LH and RH 2nd row seat outer bolsters. See Bolster - Outer - Seat - 2nd Row - LH (Remove and Replace).
  77. Install the front passenger footrest panel. See Panel - Footrest - Front Passenger (LHD) (Remove and Replace).
  78. Fold the RH front cabin carpet back into position.
  79. Install the RH center console side panel carpet. See Carpet - Side Panel - Center Console - LH (Remove and Replace).
  80. Install the passenger footwell cover. See Cover - Footwell - Passenger (Remove and Replace).
  81. Install the RH lower A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
  82. Install the RH middle A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Middle - LH (Remove and Replace).
  83. Install the front passenger seat outer riser. See Riser - Outer - Driver Seat (Remove and Replace).
  84. Install the front passenger seat. See Seat Assembly - 1st Row - RH (Remove and Replace).
  85. Fold the LH front cabin carpet back into position.
  86. Install the LH center console side panel carpet. See Carpet - Side Panel - Center Console - LH (Remove and Replace).
  87. Install the driver footwell cover. See Cover - Footwell - Driver (Remove and Replace).
  88. Install the LH lower A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
  89. Install the LH middle A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Middle - LH (Remove and Replace).
  90. Install the driver seat outer riser. See Riser - Outer - Driver Seat (Remove and Replace).
  91. Install the driver seat. See Seat Assembly - 1st Row - LH (Remove and Replace).
  92. Reconnect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  93. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  94. Restore the driver and front passenger seats back to their original position.
  95. Install the LH and RH front floor mats.
  96. Fold the 60 2nd row seat into vertical position.
  97. Close the liftgate.
  98. Set the air suspension ride height to “Medium”.
  99. Raise all four windows.
  100. Close all four doors.
