Remove

  1. Open LH front door
  2. Lower LH front window
  3. Set air suspension ride height to “Very High”
    Note
    Using center display > Controls > Suspension > ''Very High''
  4. Open hood
    Note
    Via Controls > Frunk Open
  5. Open liftgate through UI
    Note
    Using center display touchscreen > Quick Controls > Trunk Open
  6. Power off vehicle from center display
    Note
    Via Controls > Safety & Security > Power Off
  7. Remove rear underhood apron
    Note
    8x clips
  8. Disconnect LV battery connector and First Responder Loop
    Note
    2x connectors, Lift up and release green locking tab, Pull black connector lock outwards to release connection
  9. Remove parcel shelf
  10. Remove trunk load floor
  11. Remove side load floor trim
  12. Remove trunk sill panel
    Note
    6x clips, 4x guidesCorners or bottom edge are good grabbing points for removal, Can use plastic trim tool or just your hands
  13. Remove rear wall trim
    Note
    4x push clips, 2x datums
  14. Remove LH trunk bracket assembly
    Note
    4x clips, 1x datum, Pull bracket straight up
  15. Peel back LH trunk side trim and secure behind side wall trim
  16. Disconnect LH trunk puddle lamp
    Note
    1x connector
  17. Remove butyl patch covering LH access hole
  18. Remove LH nut securing rear fascia assembly to body
    Note
    1x nut, 10mm, 4 Nm
  19. Remove RH trunk bracket assembly
    Note
    3x clips, 1 datum, Pull bracket straight up
  20. Peel back RH trunk side trim and secure against upper C-pillar trim
  21. Disconnect RH trunk puddle lamp
    Note
    1x connector
  22. Remove butyl patch covering RH access hole
  23. Remove RH nut securing rear fascia assembly to body
    Note
    1x nut, 10mm, 4 Nm
  24. Remove push clips securing LH rear wheel arch liner to fascia and move to the side for access
    Note
    4x push clips
  25. Remove screw securing rear fascia to LH fender bracket
    Note
    1x screw, T25, 5 Nm, Flex liner against tire
  26. Remove push clips securing RH rear wheel arch liner to fascia and move to the side for access
    Note
    4x push clips
  27. Remove screw securing rear fascia to RH fender bracket
    Note
    1x screw, T25, 5 Nm, Flex liner against tire
  28. Remove rear diffuser nuts
    Note
    3x nuts, 10mm, 3 Nm
  29. Release rear diffuser from mid aero shield
    Note
    8x bolts, 10mm, 6 Nm, 2x clips, 2x datums
  30. Apply protective tape
    Note
    Apply protective tape to LH and RH rear fascia meeting edges .
  31. Release LH and RH fascia edges from fender brackets
  32. Pull fascia rearward to release from body
    Note
    Pull edges straight back to release fascia, Set fascia on protected surface, Recommend assistance
  33. Remove rear fascia assembly from vehicle
    Note
    Set fascia on protected surface, Recommend assistance,2x connectors, Disconnect BLE connectors before removing fascia, Do not push down on red tab, Pull red tab to disengage lock, Pull again to release connector
  34. Flip rear fascia assembly upright on workbench
  35. Remove rear fascia diffuser fasteners
    Note
    6x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm, 12x clips
  36. Remove rear fascia diffuser

Install

  1. Install rear fascia diffuser fasteners
    Note
    6x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm, 12x clips
  2. Secure rear fascia assembly onto body
    Note
    Secure fascia edges onto fender brackets
  3. Apply Loctite 222 to fasteners and secure rear diffuser to mid aero shield
    Note
    8x bolts, 10mm, 6 Nm, 2x clips, 2x datums
  4. Install rear diffuser nuts
    Note
    3x nuts, 10mm, 3 Nm
  5. Install bolt securing rear fascia to RH fender bracket
    Note
    1x bolt, T25, 5 Nm
  6. Install push clips securing RH rear wheel arch liner to fascia
    Note
    4x push clips
  7. Install bolt securing rear fascia to LH fender bracket
    Note
    1x bolt, T25, 5 Nm
  8. Install push clips securing LH rear wheel arch liner to fascia
    Note
    5x push clips
  9. Install LH nut securing rear fascia assembly to body
    Note
    1x nut, 10mm, 4 Nm
  10. Install butyl patch covering LH access hole
  11. Connect LH trunk puddle lamp
    Note
    1x connector
  12. Secure LH trunk side trim back into place
  13. Install LH trunk bracket assembly
    Note
    4x clips, 1 datum
  14. Install side load floor
  15. Install RH nut securing rear fascia assembly to body
    Note
    1x nut, 10mm, 4 Nm
  16. Install butyl patch covering RH access hole
  17. Connect RH trunk puddle lamp
    Note
    1x connector
  18. Secure RH trunk side trim back into place
  19. Install RH trunk bracket assembly
    Note
    3x clips, 1 datum
  20. Install rear wall trim
    Note
    4x push clips, 2x datums
  21. Install trunk sill panel
    Note
    6x clips, 4x guides
  22. Install trunk load floor
  23. Install parcel shelf
  24. Connect First Responder Loop and LV battery connector
    Note
    2x connectors Secure FRL first, Seat LV battery connection and push black connector lock inwards to secure, Engage green locking tab when fully seated
  25. Close liftgate
  26. Install rear underhood apron
    Note
    8x clips
  27. Close hood
    Note
    Press firmly in green highlighted areas (see image), Damage may result from pressure elsewhere on hood
  28. Raise LH front window
  29. Close LH front door
    Note
