Procedure

Replace the front drive unit oil pump
according to the gearbox fluid procedure. See Gearbox Fluid - Front Drive Unit (Drain and Refill).
NoteTesla recommends that the oil filter is replaced with a new one upon removal. Any oil filter with visible corrosion or leaks must be replaced.
- Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).

On the vehicle touchscreen, navigate to , tap Reinstall, and allow the routine to
complete.

- Unlock the vehicle gateway. See Gateway (Unlock).
- In Toolbox, run TEST-SELF_DIF_X_OIL-PUMP-PRESSUREvia Toolbox: (link), and allow the routine to complete.
- Disconnect Toolbox and remove the laptop from the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
- Disable Service Mode. See Service Mode (Enable and Disable).
