Harness - 2nd Row Seat - LH (Remove and Replace)

Remove
- Open all the doors and lower all the windows.
- Move the front seats forward.
- Remove the LH and RH 2nd row seat outer bolsters. See Bolster - Outer - Seat - 2nd Row - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the 2nd row lower seat cushion. See Seat Cushion - Lower - 2nd Row (Remove and Replace).

Remove and discard the bolt that
attaches the 2nd row center seat belt lower anchor to the vehicle, and then release the
lower anchor from the vehicle.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 15 mm socket

Fold the LH 2nd row seat to the down
position.
NoteIf the seat cushion is not present, protect the seat as required.
- Remove the LH 2nd row seat back panel. See Back Panel – 2nd Row Seat – LH (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the LH 2nd row seat back side cover. See Cover - Side - Seat Back - 2nd Row - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the LH 2nd row headrest. See Headrest - 2nd Row - LH (Remove and Replace).

Remove the LH 2nd row backrest LH and
RH headrest guides.
NoteLift the headrest guide locking tabs and slide headrest guide out of frame assembly. Guide with adjustment button installed inboard.

Disconnect the LH 2nd row backrest
harness, and then release the clip that attaches the harness to the backrest.

Disconnect the LH 2nd row backrest
cushion heat pad electrical connector.

Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the
LH 2nd row backrest cushion to the back frame.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket
-
Fold the LH 2nd row seat to the
vertical position, but do not latch the seat back.
-
Release the clips (x4) that attach the
LH 2nd row backrest cushion to the backrest frame, and then remove the cushion assembly
from the vehicle.

Remove the clips (x3) that attach the
LH 2nd row seat shoulder plastic trim to the seat assembly.
-
Release the clips (x5) that attach the
LH 2nd row shoulder plastic trim to the frame assembly, and then partially release the
shoulder plastic trim and set the trim aside.
NoteEnsure the fold switch harness and connector are not excessively pulled. Use a plastic trim tool or shop towel to hold the trim away from the seat frame.

Pull the red tab to release the
connector lock, and then disconnect the LH 2nd row seat seat back latch electrical
connector.

Fold the LH 2nd row seat to the down
position.
NoteIf the seat cushion is not present, protect the seat as required.

Disconnect the LH 2nd row seat back
harness electrical connector.
-
Release the clip that attaches the LH
2nd row seat back harness to the pivot bracket.
-
Release the pivot bushing that
attaches the LH 2nd row seat back assembly to the pivot bracket.
-
Slightly tilt the LH 2nd row seat back
upward, and then pull the LH 2nd row pivot cast upward to release it from the pivot
bracket.
-
Release the LH 2nd row seat back from
the RH pivot, and then remove the seat back from the vehicle.
- Place the LH 2nd row seat back assembly upside down on a padded workbench.

Remove the bolt that attaches the LH
2nd row seat bolster assembly to the back frame.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket

Release the locking tab, and then
disconnect the 2nd row center armrest harness electrical connector.

Position the LH 2nd row seat back to
the upright on the padded workbench.
-
Release the clips (x2) that attach the
LH 2nd row bolster assembly to the seat assembly, and then remove the bolster from the
seat assembly.
NoteLightly squeeze the clips to release the sub-bolster.

Remove the clips (x2) that attach the
2nd row armrest bun to the seat assembly.
-
Release the clips (x3) that attach the
2nd row armrest bun to the seat back assembly, and then remove the bun from the
assembly.

Release the clips (x7) that attach the
LH 2nd row seat harness to the seat assembly, and then route the armrest connector under
the armrest plastic trim to remove the harness from the assembly.
CAUTIONDo not pinch the harness.
Install
-
Position the LH 2nd row seat harness
into the LH 2nd row seat back assembly, route the armrest electrical connector under the
armrest plastic trim, and then install the clips that attach the harness to the
assembly.
CAUTIONDo not pinch the harness.

Install the clips (x3) that attach the
2nd row armrest bun to the seat back assembly.
-
Install the clips (x2) that attach the
2nd row armrest bun to the seat assembly.
-
Install the clips (x2) that attach the
LH 2nd row bolster assembly to the seat assembly.
- Position the seat back assembly upside down on the padded workbench.
-
Connect the LH 2nd row center armrest
harness electrical connector, and then engage the locking tab.

Install the bolt that attaches the LH
2nd row seat bolster assembly to the back frame.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket

Position the LH 2nd row seat back into
the vehicle, and then secure the seat back into the RH pivot.
-
Slightly tilt the LH 2nd row seat back
upward, and then press the LH 2nd row pivot cast downward to secure it to the pivot
bracket.
-
Install the pivot bushing that
attaches the LH 2nd row seat back assembly to the pivot bracket.
-
Fasten the clip that attaches the LH
2nd row seat back harness to the pivot bracket.
-
Connect the LH 2nd row seat back
harness electrical connector.
- Fold the LH 2nd row seat to the up position.
-
Connect the LH 2nd row seat seat back
latch electrical connector, and then engage the connector lock.
-
Position the LH 2nd row shoulder
plastic trim to the seat assembly, and then fasten the clips (x5) that attach the trim
to the seat assembly.
NoteRemove the plastic trim tool or shop towel. Ensure the fold switch harness and connector are properly placed.

Install the clips (x3) that attach the
LH 2nd row seat shoulder plastic trim to the seat assembly.

Install the clips (x4) that attach the
LH 2nd row backrest cushion to the seat assembly.
- Fold LH 2nd row seat to the down position.

Install the bolts (x2) that attach the
LH 2nd row backrest cushion to the back frame.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket

Connect the LH 2nd row backrest
cushion heat pad electrical connector.
-
Fasten the clip that attaches the LH
2nd row backrest harness to the backrest, and then connect the electrical
connector.

Install the LH 2nd row backrest LH and
RH headrest guides.
NoteSlide the guides into the backrest frame. Ensure the headrest guide locking tabs are fully engaged. Guide with adjustment button installed inboard.
- Install the LH 2nd row headrest. See Headrest - 2nd Row - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Install the LH 2nd row seat back side cover. See Cover - Side - Seat Back - 2nd Row - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Install the LH 2nd row seat back panel. See Back Panel – 2nd Row Seat – LH (Remove and Replace)
- Fold 60 seat into vertical position

Install a new bolt that attaches the
2nd row center seat belt lower anchor to the vehicle.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 15 mm socket
- Install the 2nd row lower seat cushion. See Seat Cushion - Lower - 2nd Row (Remove and Replace).
- Install the LH and RH 2nd row seat outer bolsters. See Bolster - Outer - Seat - 2nd Row - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Move the front seats to the original positions.
- Raise all four windows
- Raise all the windows and close all the doors.
