Taillight - RH (Global) (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the parcel shelf. See Parcel Shelf - Rear Trunk (Remove and Replace).
  2. Remove the trunk load floor. See Trunk Load Floor - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the trunk sill panel. See Trim - Sill - Trunk (Remove and Replace).
  4. Remove the RH trunk load floor bracket. See Bracket - Trunk Load Floor - RH (Remove and Replace).
  5. Remove the trunk floor front trim. See Trim - Front - Floor - Trunk (Remove and Replace).
  6. Remove the rear wall trim. See Trim - Rear Trunk - Rear Wall (Remove and Replace).
  7. Remove the RH trunk side trim. See Trim - Side - Trunk - RH (Remove and Replace).
  8. Disconnect the RH taillight electrical connector.
  9. Remove the nuts (x2) that attach the RH taillight to the body.
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • 8 mm 12-point deep socket
    • 4 in extension
  10. Release the datum (x2) to remove the RH taillight from the body.

Install

  1. Hand-tighten the nuts that attach the taillight to the body.
  2. Use the body gap and flush tool to verify the fitment of the taillight to the body.

  3. If adjustment is necessary, remove the taillight from the vehicle.
  4. Position the adjustable datum in the center of the taillight to correct the taillight gap fitment and adjust the top threaded studs if additional clearance is needed.
  5. Secure the datums (x2) to attach the RH taillight to the body.
  6. Install the nuts (x2) that attach the taillight to the body.
    3.5 Nm (2.6 lbs-ft)
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • 8 mm 12-point deep socket
    • 4 in extension
    • Ratchet/torque wrench
  7. Connect the RH taillight electrical connector.
  8. Install the RH trunk side trim. See Trim - Side - Trunk - RH (Remove and Replace).
  9. Install the rear wall trim. See Trim - Rear Trunk - Rear Wall (Remove and Replace).
  10. Install the trunk floor front trim. See Trim - Front - Floor - Trunk (Remove and Replace).
  11. Install the RH trunk load floor bracket. See Bracket - Trunk Load Floor - RH (Remove and Replace).
  12. Install the trunk sill panel. See Trim - Sill - Trunk (Remove and Replace).
  13. Install the trunk load floor. See Trunk Load Floor - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  14. Install the parcel shelf. See Parcel Shelf - Rear Trunk (Remove and Replace).
