Bumper Beam - Rear (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the rear fascia assembly. See Fascia Assembly - Rear (Remove and Install).
  2. Remove the nuts (x8) that attach the rear bumper beam to the body, and then remove the bumper beam from the vehicle.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 15 mm deep socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • 3 in extension

Install

  1. Position the rear bumper beam onto the vehicle.

    Note
    Verify the "T" stamp is pointing downward to avoid fascia fitment issues.
  2. Install the nuts that attach the rear bumper beam to the body.
    60 Nm (44.2 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 15 mm deep socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • 3 in extension
  3. Install the rear fascia assembly. See Fascia Assembly - Rear (Remove and Install).
