Module - Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) - Rear (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the rear fascia assembly. See Fascia Assembly - Rear (Remove and Install).
  2. Disconnect the rear BLE assembly electrical connector.

    CAUTION
    DO NOT push down on the red locking tab. Pull the tab away from the connector until the connector is unlocked, and then continue pulling to release the connector.
  3. Remove the two screws that attach the rear BLE assembly to the fascia.

Install

  1. Install the two screws that attach the rear BLE assembly to the fascia.

  2. Connect the rear BLE assembly electrical connector.

    CAUTION
    Push the red locking tab into the connector to engage the locking mechanism. DO NOT push down or pull up on the red locking tab.
  3. Install the rear fascia assembly. See Fascia Assembly - Rear (Remove and Install).
  4. Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle.
  5. In Toolbox, click the Actions/Autodiag tab, and then search for "Service_Redeploy".
  6. Click UPDATE_CAN-REDEPLOYvia Toolbox: (link)via Service Mode Plus:
    • Drive Inverter Replacement ➜ Drive Inverter DIRE1L Replacement ➜ CAN Redeploy
    • Drive Inverter Replacement ➜ Drive Inverter DIRE1R Replacement ➜ CAN Redeploy
    • Drive Inverter Replacement ➜ Drive Inverter DIRE2 Replacement ➜ CAN Redeploy
    • Drive Inverter ➜ Front Drive Inverter Replacement ➜ CAN Redeploy
    • Drive Inverter ➜ Rear Drive Inverter Replacement ➜ CAN Redeploy
    • Drive Inverter ➜ Rear Left Drive Inverter Replacement ➜ CAN Redeploy
    • Drive Inverter ➜ Rear Right Drive Inverter Replacement ➜ CAN Redeploy
    • Drive Unit ➜ Front Drive Unit Replacement ➜ CAN Redeploy
    • Drive Unit ➜ Rear Drive Unit Replacement ➜ CAN Redeploy
    , and then click Run and allow the routine to complete.

    Note
    Select "X" at top right of window to close once complete. The routine will state pass but the update will continue to run in the background. The UI will show update progress.
  7. In Toolbox, click the Actions tab, and then search for "Endpoint".
  8. Click TEST-SELF_VCSEC_X_ENDPOINT-COMMvia Toolbox: (link), and then click Run Network and allow the routine to complete.

    Note
    Click the X at the top right of the window to close the window.
  9. Disconnect Toolbox and remove the laptop from the vehicle.
  10. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
