Insulator - Wheelhouse - Rear - RH (Remove and Replace)

Remove
- Open all the doors and open all the windows.
- Move the driver and front passenger seats fully forward.
- Remove the LH and RH 2nd row seat outer bolsters. See Bolster - Outer - Seat - 2nd Row - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the 2nd row lower seat cushion. See Seat Cushion - Lower - 2nd Row (Remove and Replace).

Fold down the RH 2nd row seat back (40
portion).
NoteRelease the seat from either button at the seat back or the from trunk switch.
- Remove the RH lower C-pillar trim. SeeTrim - C-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the RH mid C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Mid - LH (Remove and Replace).

Release the clips (x3) that attach the
RH lower C-pillar support bracket, and then remove the bracket from the vehicle.
- Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
- Disconnect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
- Remove the rear trunk parcel shelf. See Parcel Shelf - Rear Trunk (Remove and Replace).

Release the clips (x7) that attach the
RH upper C-pillar trim, and then move the trim aside.
- Remove the rear trunk load floor. See Trunk Load Floor - Rear (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the rear wall rear trunk trim. See Trim - Rear Trunk - Rear Wall (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the trunk floor front trim. See Trim - Front - Floor - Trunk (Remove and Replace).
- Remove RH trunk load floor bracket. See Bracket - Trunk Load Floor - RH (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the RH trunk side trim. See Trim - Side - Trunk - RH (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the RH C-pillar support bracket. See Bracket - Support - C-Pillar - LH (Remove and Replace).

Release the clips (x3) that attach the
RH C-pillar mid and lower body bracket to the body.
- Remove the RH 2nd row seat back striker. See Striker - Seat Back - 2nd Row Seat - LH (Remove and Replace).

Remove the closeout panel for the RH
rear door latch assembly.

Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the
RH rear door latch to the body.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T30 socket
NoteGuide the RH rear door latch through the wheelhouse insulator, and then set the latch aside. -
Disconnect the electrical connector,
then remove the nut that attaches the RH rear seatbelt retractor to the body, and then
set the retractor aside.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 15 mm socket

Disconnect the LH taillight electrical
connector.
- Remove the subwoofer. See Subwoofer (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the external audio amplifier. See Amplifier - Audio - External (Remove and Replace).

Release the clips (x12) and bolt that
attach the RH body harness to the body.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket

Remove the RH rear wheelhouse
insulator.
NoteCarefully maneuver the insulator out of the vehicle.
Install

Install the RH rear wheelhouse
insulator.
NoteCarefully maneuver the insulator into the vehicle.

Fasten the clips (x12) and bolt that
attach the RH body harness to the body. Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket
- Install the external audio amplifier. See Amplifier - Audio - External (Remove and Replace).
- Install the subwoofer. See Subwoofer (Remove and Replace).

Connect the RH taillight electrical
connector.
NoteSecure the red locking tab.
- Install the RH C-pillar support bracket. See Bracket - Support - C-Pillar - LH (Remove and Replace).

Connect the electrical connector, and
then install the nut that attaches RH rear seatbelt retractor to the body.
Note15mm. Torque 40 Nm.
- Install the RH 2nd row seat back striker. See Striker - Seat Back - 2nd Row Seat - LH (Remove and Replace).

Install the RH rear door latch through
the wheelhouse insulator, and then install the bolts (x2) that attach the latch to the
body.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T30 socket

Fasten the clips (x3) that attach the
RH C-pillar mid and lower body bracket to the body.

Fasten the clips (x3) that attach the
RH lower C-pillar support bracket to the body.
- Install the RH trunk side trim. See Trim - Side - Trunk - RH (Remove and Replace).

Fasten the clips (x7) that attach the
RH upper C-pillar trim to the body.
- Install the RH mid C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Mid - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Install the RH lower C-pillar trim. SeeTrim - C-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).

Connect the 2nd row seat back
electrical connector (40 portion).

Raise the RH 2nd row seat back (40
portion) into the upright and locked position.
- Reconnect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
- Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
- Install the rear wall rear trunk trim. See Trim - Rear Trunk - Rear Wall (Remove and Replace).
- Install the trunk floor front trim. See Trim - Front - Floor - Trunk (Remove and Replace).
- Install the RH trunk load floor bracket. See Bracket - Trunk Load Floor - RH (Remove and Replace).
- Install the rear trunk load floor. See Trunk Load Floor - Rear (Remove and Replace).
- Install the rear trunk parcel shelf. See Parcel Shelf - Rear Trunk (Remove and Replace).
- Install the 2nd row lower seat cushion. See Seat Cushion - Lower - 2nd Row (Remove and Replace).
- Install the LH and RH 2nd row seat outer bolsters. See Bolster - Outer - Seat - 2nd Row - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Restore the driver and front passenger seats back to their original position.
- Raise all windows and close all doors.
