Fascia Assembly - Rear (HW3) (Remove and Replace)

Remove
- Remove the rear fascia assembly from the vehicle. See Fascia Assembly - Rear (Remove and Install).

Pull the red tab to release the
connector lock, and then disconnect the rear parking sensor electrical connectors
(x6).
NoteDO NOT push down on the red locking tab. Pull the tab away from the connector until the connector is unlocked, and then continue pulling to release the connector.

Pull the red tab to release the
connector lock, and then disconnect the LH rear BLE assembly electrical connector.
NoteDO NOT push down on the red locking tab. Pull the tab away from the connector until the connector is unlocked, and then continue pulling to release the connector.

Pull the red tab to release the
connector lock, and then disconnect the RH rear BLE assembly electrical connector.
NoteDO NOT push down on the red locking tab. Pull the tab away from the connector until the connector is unlocked, and then continue pulling to release the connector.

Release the clips (x8) and remove the
adhesive pads (x4) that attach the wiring harness to the rear fascia assembly, and then
remove the harness from the fascia assembly.

Remove the parking sensors (x6) from
the rear fascia assembly.
NoteSensors S7 and S12 (arrowed in image) are different from S8-S11 (circled in image).

Remove the screws (x2) that attach the
LH rear BLE assembly to the rear fascia, and then remove the assembly from the fascia.
Repeat this step for the RH rear BLE assembly.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T25 socket
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- 4 in extension

Remove the top LH and RH bolts that
attach the rear diffuser to the rear fascia assembly.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm deep socket
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench

Position the rear fascia assembly
upside down on workbench.

Remove the screws (x2) and release the
tabs (x10) that attach the tow hitch cover to the rear fascia assembly, and then remove
the cover from the assembly.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Large flathead screwdriver

Remove the bottom bolts (x6) that
attach the rear diffuser to the rear fascia assembly.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm deep socket
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench

Position the rear fascia assembly
upright on the workbench.

Release the tabs (x8) that attach the
rear diffuser to the rear fascia assembly, and then remove the diffuser from the
assembly.

Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the
rear lower fascia to the rear fascia assembly.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm deep socket
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench

Release the tabs (x23) that attach the
rear lower fascia to the rear fascia assembly, and then remove the lower fascia from the
assembly.
NoteInsert a pick behind the lower fascia tab, and the rotate to pry the fascia assembly tab upward.
Install

Place the new rear fascia assembly
upside down on flat and protected surface.

Position the rear lower fascia onto
the rear fascia assembly, and then secure the tabs (x23) that attach the lower fascia to
the assembly.

Place the rear fascia assembly upright
on the workbench.

Install the bolts that attach the rear
lower fascia to the rear fascia assembly.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm deep socket
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench

Position the rear diffuser onto rear
fascia assembly, and then secure the tabs (x8) that attach the diffuser to the
fascia.

Install the top LH and RH bolts that
attach the rear diffuser to the rear fascia assembly.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm deep socket
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench

Place the rear fascia assembly upside
down on workbench.

Install the bottom bolts (x6) that
attach the rear diffuser to the rear fascia assembly.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm deep socket
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench

Position the tow hitch cover onto the
rear fascia assembly, and then secure the tabs (x10) that attach the cover to the
fascia.

Install the bolts that attach the tow
hitch cover to the rear fascia.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Large flathead screwdriver

Place the rear fascia assembly upright
on workbench.

Position the RH rear BLE assembly onto
the rear fascia, and then install the screws that attach the BLE assembly to the fascia.
Repeat this step for the LH BLE assembly.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T25 socket
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- 4 in extension

Install the parking sensors (x6) onto
the rear fascia assembly.
NoteSensors S7 and S12 (arrowed in image) are different from S8-S11 (circled in image).

Position the wiring harness onto the
rear fascia assembly, and then install the clips (x8) and adhesive pads (x4) that attach
the harness to the fascia.

Connect the RH rear BLE assembly
electrical connector, and then engage the connector lock. Repeat this step for the LH
rear BLE assembly.

Connect the rear parking sensor
electrical connectors (x6), and then engage the connector locks.
