Remove

  1. Raise and support vehicle

    Prepare to raise vehicle, Set air suspension to "Jack Mode", Position lift arm pads on vehicle jack pads
  2. Enable Service Mode Plus. See Service Mode Plus.
  3. Turn HVAC on, Turn AC OFF and set the Blower Speed to 10. Set the Temperature to HI and run for 10 minutes

    This will clear most of the oil out of the cabin condenser
  4. Remove the underhood storage unit. See .
  5. Turn off the HVAC and let it sit for 1 minute

    Make sure both compressor and blower are off, this allows refrigerant inside cabin condenser to return to the accumulator
  6. Turn the HVAC back on, Turn the AC on, set the Blower Speed to 10 and the Temperature to LO, run the HVAC for 10 minutes

  7. Connect A/C machine to power and switch on

  8. Skip the following panels when prompted

  9. Perform hose flush

  10. Turn Off the AC and Blower motor
  11. Perform the following routine using Service Mode or Toolbox (see 0005 - Service Modes): PROC_VCFRONT_X_START-THERMAL-FILL-DRAINvia Toolbox: (link)via Service Mode:
    • Thermal ➜ Actions ➜ Start Thermal Fill/Drain
    • Thermal ➜ Coolant System ➜ Start Coolant Fill/Drain
    • Thermal ➜ Refrigerant System ➜ Start Refrigerant Fill/Drain
    via Service Mode Plus: Drive Inverter ➜ Front Drive Inverter Replacement ➜ Start Fluid Fill/Drain

  12. Power off vehicle from center display

  13. Disconnect LV battery connector and First Responder Loop

  14. Verify operation of multimeter

    Set multimeter to DC voltage, Confirm multimeter is properly measuring voltage by testing LV battery, Touch lightly and do not damage terminals
  15. Raise vehicle fully and lower lift onto locks

    Set vehicle to comfortable working height, Make sure there's an audible click of the locks on both sides before lowering, otherwise vehicle may tilt to the side
  16. Remove clips securing mid aero shield

  17. Remove bolts securing mid aero shield and remove from vehicle

    16x bolts, 10mm, 6 Nm
  18. Install amp clamp to LH RDU HV harness

    Note
    Verify meter is zeroed out before performing measurement, Measure single cable. Verify ammeter is installed in correct direction._x000A__x000A_ If current > 0.5A do not proceed with disconnecting HV connector. In this case, start vehicle electrical isolation again to make sure that all was properly shut down. Escalate for assistance as required_x000A__x000A_If current < 0.5A, OK to disconnect and check voltage at HV plug on the battery side.
  19. Remove all items from pockets and ensure not wearing metal items
  20. Inspect HV insulating gloves

  21. Put on HV insulating gloves and leather over gloves
  22. Release LH RDU HV harness from HV battery

  23. Verify no high voltage at LH rear RDU HV header

  24. Secure LH RDU HV harness to battery pack

  25. Remove the leather glove protectors and HV insulating gloves

  38. Perform the following routine using Service Mode or Toolbox (see 0005 - Service Modes):
    1. Unlock the gateway. See Gateway (Unlock).
    2. On the touchscreen, tap Thermal > Actions, ensure that the indicators are green and read Ready for Fill/Drain.
  39. Power off vehicle from center display
