Window Regulator - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace)

Correction code 11502202 0.66 NOTE: Unless otherwise explicitly stated in the procedure, the above correction code and FRT reflect all of the work required to perform this procedure, including the linked procedures. Remove

  1. Remove the LH rear door trim panel. See Panel - Door Trim - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
  2. Remove the butyl patches that cover the LH rear door regulator isolator clamps.
  3. Remove plugs (x2) that cover the openings in LH rear door to access the LH rear door regulator mounting guides.
  4. Temporarily connect the puddle lamp to the LH rear door.

    Note
    Route the harness/lamp so it will not be damage when the closing the door.
  5. Connect the window switch special tool to the LH rear door harness.
  6. Pull the white tab to release the connector lock, and then disconnect the LH rear door handle controller electrical connector.
  7. Disconnect the LH rear door pressure sensor electrical connector.

    Note
    DO NOT push down on the red locking tab. Pull the tab away from the connector until the connector is unlocked, and then continue pulling to release the connector.
  8. Remove the bolts (x6) that attach the LH rear door closeout panel to the door assembly.
    4 Nm (2.9 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 8 mm socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • 2 in extension
  9. Release the clips (x3) that attach the wiring harness to the LH rear door closeout panel, and then remove the closeout panel from the vehicle.

    Note
    Release the clips from the back of panel to prevent damage.
  10. Remove the LH rear door speaker. See Speaker - Rear Door - LH (Remove and Replace).
  11. Use the window switch special tool to raise the LH rear door glass partially for access to the foremost regulator isolator clamp.
  12. Remove the bolt that attaches the rear LH door glass to the foremost regulator isolator clamp.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm deep socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • 2 in extension
  13. Raise the LH rear window partially for access to the rearmost regulator isolator clamp.
  14. Remove the bolt that attaches the rear LH door glass to the rearmost regulator isolator clamp.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm deep socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • 2 in extension
  15. Release the LH rear door margin seal from the LH rear door assembly, and then remove the seal from the assembly.
  16. Release the LH C-pillar margin seal from the LH rear door assembly, and then remove the seal from the assembly.
  17. Remove the LH rear door inner belt seal. See Seal - Inner Belt - Rear Door - LH (Remove and Replace).
  18. Remove rear LH door glass from the door assembly.
  19. Remove the lower LH rear regulator mounting nuts (x2).
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  20. Remove the plug and butyl patch that cover the LH rear door regulator upper mounting nuts.
  21. Remove the LH rear door regulator upper mounting nuts (x2).
    10 Nm (7.4 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
  22. Remove the screws (x3) that attach the LH rear window regulator motor to the door.
    3 Nm (2.2 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T30 socket
  23. Release the LH rear window regulator from the lower mounts.
  24. Collapse and partially maneuver the LH rear window regulator through the door opening enough to access the motor harness electrical connector.
  25. Disconnect the LH rear window regulator motor electrical connector.
  26. Remove the LH rear window regulator from the door.

Install

  1. Partially install the LH rear window regulator into the door opening with enough clearance to access the motor harness electrical connector.
  2. Connect the LH rear window regulator motor electrical connector.
  3. Secure the LH rear window regulator into the lower mounts.
  4. Install the screws (x3) that attach the LH rear window regulator motor to the door.
    3 Nm (2.2 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T30 socket
  5. Install the LH rear door regulator upper mounting nuts (x2).
    10 Nm (7.4 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  6. Install the plug and butyl patch that cover the LH rear door regulator upper mounting nuts.
  7. Install and hand-tighten the lower nuts (x2) that attach the LH rear window regulator to the door assembly.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  8. Position the rear LH door glass into the LH rear door.
  9. Install the LH rear door inner belt seal. See Seal - Inner Belt - Rear Door - LH (Remove and Replace).
  10. Install the LH C-pillar margin seal onto the LH rear door assembly.
  11. Install the LH rear door margin seal onto the LH rear door assembly.
  12. Install and hand tighten the bolt that attaches the LH rear door glass to the rearmost regulator isolator clamp.
  13. Lower the LH rear door glass partially for access to foremost regulator isolator clamp.
  14. Install and hand tighten the bolt that attaches the LH rear door glass to the foremost regulator isolator clamp.
  15. Install the LH rear door speaker. See Speaker - Rear Door - LH (Remove and Replace).
  16. Position the LH rear door closeout panel onto the door, and then install the bolts (x6) that attach the closeout panel to the door..
    4 Nm (2.9 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 8 mm socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • 2 in extension
  17. Install the clips (x3) that attach the wiring harness onto the LH rear door closeout panel.
  18. Connect the LH rear door pressure sensor electrical connector, and then engage the connector lock.
  19. Connect the LH rear door handle controller electrical connector, and then engage the connector lock.
  20. Raise the LH rear window fully.
  21. Close the LH rear door.
  22. Adjust the LH rear window. See Door Glass - Rear - LH (Adjust).
