Trim - Liftgate - Lower (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open the liftgate.
  2. Release the clips (x8) that attach the lower liftgate trim to the liftgate, then disconnect the electrical connectors (x2), and then remove the trim from the vehicle.

    CAUTION
    Do not let hang or drop quickly the lower liftgate trim, otherwise damage to the electrical connectors will result.
  3. Release the tabs (x3) that attach the trunk task light cover to the trunk task light, and then remove the trunk task light cover from the lower liftgate trim.
  4. Release the tabs (x5) that attach the trunk task light to the lower liftgate trim, and then remove the task light from the liftgate trim.
  5. Release the tabs (x2) that attach the liftgate switch to the lower liftgate trim, and then remove the switch from liftgate trim.

Install

  1. Install the liftgate switch into the lower liftgate trim.

    The liftgate switch is slotted and can only be installed one way.
  2. Install the trunk task light into the lower liftgate trim.

    Holding tabs (x5)
  3. Install the trunk task light cover into the trunk task light.
  4. Connect the electrical connectors (x2), and then fasten the clips (x8) that attach the lower liftgate trim to the liftgate.
  5. Close the liftgate.
