Taillight - LH (Remove and Replace)

Torque Specifications

2.5 Nm (1.8 lbs-ft)
  • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
  • 4 in extension

Remove

  1. Remove the charge port assembly. See Charge Port (Global) (Remove and Replace).
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the LH taillight.
  3. Remove the nuts (x3) that attach the LH taillight to the vehicle.

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • 8 mm 12-point deep socket
    • 4 in extension
  4. Remove the LH taillight from the vehicle.

    CAUTION
    Carefully remove the taillight from the vehicle to avoid damage to painted surfaces.
  5. Remove the screws (x3) that attach the charge port door to the taillight.

    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • 4 in extension
    • Torx T20 bit

Install

  1. Position the datums of the charge port door to the taillight, and then install screws (x3) that attach the charge port door to the taillight.
    2.5 Nm (1.8 lbs-ft)

    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • 4 in extension
    • Torx T20 bit
  2. Position the LH tail lamp studs to the vehicle.
  3. Install the nuts (x3) that attach the LH taillight to the vehicle.
    4 Nm (2.9 lbs-ft)

  4. Connect the electrical connector to the LH taillight.
  5. Install the charge port assembly. See Charge Port (Global) (Remove and Replace).
