Insulator - Top Cowl (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the instrument panel sub-assembly. See Sub Assembly - Instrument Panel (Remove and Install).
  2. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the instrument panel cowl link to the vehicle.

    TIp
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • 10 mm socket
  3. Remove the top cowl insulator from the top link.

    Note
    Lift the cowl link slightly and slide the insulator rearward.

Install

  1. Install the top cowl insulator to the top link.
  2. Align the datums (x2) and install the bolts (x2) that attach the instrument panel cowl link to the vehicle.
    6 Nm (4.4 lbs-ft)
