Pump - Windshield Washer Reservoir (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
  2. Remove the LH front wheel. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
  3. Release the clips (x7) that attach the front portion of the LH front wheel house liner to the vehicle.
  4. Release the tabs (x2) that attach the washer hose to the reservoir.
  5. Disconnect the washer pump electrical connector.
  6. Disconnect the washer hose from the washer pump.

    CAUTION
    Carefully separate the hose from washer pump to not damage the washer pump.
  7. Pull the washer pump in an upwards direction and allow the washer tank to drain.
  8. Remove the washer pump grommet from the washer pump. Inspect the washer pump grommet for damage. If any damage is found, then replace the grommet.

Install

  1. Install the washer pump grommet to the new washer pump.
  2. Install the washer pump to the washer tank.
  3. Connect the washer hose to the washer pump.

    CAUTION
    Be careful not to damage the washer pump when connecting the washer hose.
  4. Connect the washer pump electrical connector.
  5. Attach the washer hose to the tabs (x2) on the reservoir.
  6. Install the clips (x7) that attach the front portion of the LH front wheel house liner to the vehicle.
  7. Install the LH front wheel. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
  8. Remove the vehicle from the lift.
