Subwoofer (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open the RH front door.
  2. Lower the RH front window.
  3. Move the RH front seat forward.
  4. Open the RH falcon wing door.
  5. Move the RH monopost seat forward.
  6. Remove the RH rear sill panel trim. See .
  7. Open the liftgate.
  8. Remove the rear trunk load floor. See Trunk Load Floor - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  9. Remove the rear trunk floor NVH insulator. See NVH Insulator - Floor - Rear Trunk (Remove and Replace).
  10. Remove the rear trunk carpet. See Carpet - Rear Trunk (7 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  11. Remove the LH and RH rear trunk garnishes. See Garnish - Rear Trunk - Side - LH (Remove and Replace).
  12. Remove the RH mid C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Mid - LH (Remove and Replace).
  13. Remove the RH lower C-pillar. See Trim - C-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
  14. Remove the trunk sill trim. See Trim - Sill - Trunk (Remove and Replace).
  15. Release the clips (x6) that attach the rear wall load support to the vehicle.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Clip pry tool
    • Plastic trim tool
  16. Fold the RH 3rd row seat back downwards.
  17. Remove the RH upper C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace).
  18. Remove the RH trunk side trim. See Trim - Side - Trunk - RH (Remove and Replace).
  19. Remove the RH trunk trim bracket. See Bracket - Trim - Trunk - RH (Remove and Replace).
  20. Release the tabs (x2) that attach the subwoofer connector to the vehicle, and then disconnect the connector.
  21. Remove the bolts (x3) that attach the subwoofer to the vehicle, and then remove the subwoofer from the vehicle.

    Note
    Guide the subwoofer around the RH rear trunk tie down bracket and the RH body harness during removal.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 in extension
    • 10 mm deep socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench

Install

  1. Position the subwoofer on the vehicle, and then install the bolts (x3) that attach the subwoofer to the vehicle.
    10 Nm (7.4 lbs-ft)

    Note
    Guide the subwoofer around the RH rear trunk tie down bracket and the RH body harness during installation.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 in extension
    • 10 mm deep socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • Ratchet/torque wrench
  2. Connect the subwoofer connector, and then install the tabs (x2) that attach the connector to the subwoofer.
  3. Install the RH trunk trim bracket. See Bracket - Trim - Trunk - RH (Remove and Replace).
  4. Install the RH trunk side trim. See Trim - Side - Trunk - RH (Remove and Replace).
  5. Install the RH upper C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace).
  6. Unfold the RH 3rd row seat back into original position.
  7. Install the RH lower C-pillar. See Trim - C-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
  8. Install the RH rear sill panel trim. See .
  9. Install the RH mid C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Mid - LH (Remove and Replace).
  10. Install the clips (x6) that attach the rear wall load support to the vehicle.
  11. Install the trunk sill trim. See Trim - Sill - Trunk (Remove and Replace).
  12. Install the LH and RH rear trunk garnishes. See Garnish - Rear Trunk - Side - LH (Remove and Replace).
  13. Install the rear trunk carpet. See Carpet - Rear Trunk (7 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  14. Install the rear trunk floor NVH insulator. See NVH Insulator - Floor - Rear Trunk (Remove and Replace).
  15. Install the rear trunk load floor. See Trunk Load Floor - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  16. Close the liftgate.
  17. Move the RH monopost seat to original position .
  18. Close the RH falcon wing door.
  19. Move the RH front seat to original position.
  20. Raise the RH front window.
  21. Close the RH front door.
