Seat Assembly - 2nd Row - RH (5 Seat) (Remove and Replace)

Correction code 13054902 1.08 NOTE: Unless otherwise explicitly stated in the procedure, the above correction code and FRT reflect all of the work required to perform this procedure, including the linked procedures. Remove

  1. Open all the doors and lower the front windows.
  2. Move the driver seat forward.
  3. Fold the LH 2nd row seat to the down position.
  4. Remove the LH rear sill panel trim. See Trim - Sill Panel - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
  5. Apply masking tape to the LH racetrack to avoid damage.
  6. Repeat step 2 through step 5 for the RH side of the vehicle.
  7. Remove the rear trunk load floor. See Trunk Load Floor - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  8. Remove the front trunk load floor. See Trunk Load Floor - Front (Remove and Replace).
  9. Remove the trunk gap hider. See Gap Hider - Trunk (5 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  10. Remove the RH side rear trunk garnish. See Garnish - Rear Trunk - Side - LH (Remove and Replace).
  11. Remove the RH mid C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Mid - LH (Remove and Replace).
  12. Remove the RH trunk load floor bracket cover. See Cover - Bracket - Trunk Load Floor - LH (Remove and Replace).
  13. Remove the RH lower C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
  14. Repeat step 10 through step 13 for the LH side of the vehicle.
  15. Remove the 2nd row mid floor panel. See Floor Panel - Mid - 2nd Row (5 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  16. Remove the RH 2nd row seat floor support.
  17. Fold the trunk carpet rearward.

    Note
    Starting from the front, lift the carpet over the harpoon brackets, and then fold the carpet back enough to access the rear seat components.
  18. Remove the 2nd row rear floor panel. See Floor Panel - Rear - 2nd Row (5 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  19. Remove and discard the bolts (x4) that attach the rear of the RH 2nd row seat assembly seat track to the vehicle.
    45 Nm (33.2 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 11 mm socket
  20. Remove and discard the bolts (x6) that attach the front of the RH 2nd row seat assembly seat track to the vehicle.
    45 Nm (33.2 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 11 mm socket
  21. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the RH 2nd row seat carpet support bracket to the vehicle, and then remove the bracket from the vehicle.
    5 Nm (3.7 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  22. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  23. Disconnect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  24. Release the clips (x2) that attach the seat harness to the RH floor support bracket.
  25. Release the locking tabs, and then disconnect the RH 2nd row seat harness electrical connectors (x4).

    Release the connectors from the bracket for better access.
  26. With assistance, remove the RH 2nd row seat assembly from the vehicle.

Install

  1. With assistance, position the RH 2nd row seat assembly into the vehicle.

    Make sure the guide pins are aligned properly.
  2. Connect the RH 2nd row seat harness electrical connectors (x4), secure the connector locks, and then secure the connector housings to the bracket.

    Secure the connector housings to the bracket.
  3. Secure the clips (x2) that attach the seat harness to the RH floor support bracket.
  4. Position the RH 2nd row seat carpet support bracket into the vehicle, and then install the bolts (x2) that attach the bracket to the vehicle.
    5 Nm (3.7 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  5. Install and hand tighten new bolts (x6) that attach the front of the RH 2nd row seat assembly seat track to the vehicle.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 11 mm socket
  6. Install new bolts (x4) that attach the rear of the RH 2nd row seat assembly seat track to the vehicle.
    45 Nm (33.2 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 11 mm socket
  7. Tighten the bolts (x6) that attach the front of the RH 2nd row seat assembly seat track to the vehicle.
    45 Nm (33.2 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 11 mm socket
  8. Install the RH 2nd row seat floor support.
  9. Install the 2nd row rear floor panel. See Floor Panel - Rear - 2nd Row (5 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  10. Fold the trunk carpet to the original position.

    Note
    Fold carpet down over the harpoon brackets.
  11. Install the 2nd row mid floor panel. See Floor Panel - Mid - 2nd Row (5 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  12. Install the LH lower C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
  13. Install the LH rear sill panel trim. See Trim - Sill Panel - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
  14. Install the LH mid C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Mid - LH (Remove and Replace).
  15. Repeat step 12 through step 14 for the RH side of the vehicle.
  16. Install the LH and RH side rear trunk garnish. See Garnish - Rear Trunk - Side - LH (Remove and Replace).
  17. Install the trunk gap hider. See Gap Hider - Trunk (5 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  18. Install the LH and RH trunk load floor bracket covers. See Cover - Bracket - Trunk Load Floor - LH (Remove and Replace).
  19. Install the front trunk load floor. See Trunk Load Floor - Front (Remove and Replace).
  20. Install the rear trunk load floor. See Trunk Load Floor - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  21. Connect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  22. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  23. Close the liftgate.
  24. Remove the masking tape from the LH and RH lower C-pillars and from the race tracks.
  25. Fold the LH and RH 2nd row seats to the upright position.
  26. Move the driver and front passenger seats to the original position.
  27. Close the RH front door.
  28. Calibrate the rear doors.

    Note
    If the "Calibration Needed" message appears on the vehicle touchscreen, touch and hold Calibrate to calibrate the rear doors.
  29. Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
  30. Click the Actions tab, and then search for "Service-Redeploy".
  31. Click SERVICE CAN REDEPLOY, and then click Run and allow the routine to complete.

    The routine will state pass but the update will continue to run in the background.

    Click the X at the top right of window to close once complete.
  32. Disconnect Toolbox and remove the laptop from the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
  33. Raise the front windows and close the LH front door.
