  2. Lower both front windows.
  3. Raise and support the vehicle.
  4. Turn steering wheel fully to right

  19. Disconnect the LV battery connector and First Responder Loop.
  20. Disconnect front fascia assembly

  23. Disconnect active grille shutter actuator

  24. Disconnect ambient air sensor and push grommet through front end carrier

  26. Place coolant catcher below LH front of vehicle
  27. Disconnect radiator inlet and outlet hoses from top LH side of radiator and allow coolant to drain

  77. Connect to vehicle using Toolbox

    Navigate to https://toolbox.teslamotors.com and establish connection to vehicle, Select connection status icon at top right corner then select connect locally, Icon will turn green when connected, Successful connection will automatically unlock vehicle gateway and place UI in Service Mode Plus, Media converter box powered by laptop USB or 12v power outlet, Ethernet connection will provide communication, If RJ45 ethernet connector present at service panel media converter box not required, Vehicles built 4/5/2024 onwards have OBDII connection integrated into drivers lower IP cover, Use OBDII connection if this applies, Some vehicles may have both RJ45 and OBDII, If vehicle has both RJ45 and OBD-II then connect via RJ45, For local connection issues with Toolbox refer to https://toolbox.teslamotors.com/articles/43695
  78. Select "Actions/Autodiag" tab and search for "Purge"
  79. Select TEST_VCFRONT_X_THERMAL-COOLANT-AIR-PURGE, click "Run", and allow routine to complete

    Make sure vehicle is not in drive state, Routine is still running despite the stop message, Coolant pumps will be audible, Test lasts approximately 10 mins, Putting vehicle into drive state will stop this routine, Monitor levels as required
  80. Inspect coolant level and top off as necessary

  81. Install coolant bottle cap
  82. Select ‘Actions/Autodiag’ and search for ‘Thermal’
  83. Select ‘Thermal System Performance Test ’, click ‘Run’, and allow routine to complete

  84. Disconnect the laptop and ethernet diag kit (if used) from the vehicle.
  85. Install the IP service panel.

  89. Press brake pedal to turn on drive rails
  90. Turn steering wheel back to center
  91. Lower and remove the vehicle from the lift.
  92. Raise both front windows.
  93. Close the LH front door.
