- Open the LH front door.
- Lower both front windows.

Raise and support the vehicle.

Turn steering wheel fully to right

Remove bolts securing upper portion of front fascia
Note6x bolts, 10mm, 7 Nm

Remove LH front liner cover
Note1x clip, 8x tabs

Remove LH front wheel fairing from valence
Note2x bolts, 10mm, 1.5 Nm, 1x securing tab
-
Remove clips securing LH front wheel liner to valence
Note3x clips
-
Remove LH front fender garnish
Note5x clips, 8x tabs, 1x connector, 1x locking tab, Starting from the rear release garnish to access connector, After sensor is disconnected remove trim
-
Remove screw securing LH front of fascia to LH front fender
Note1x screw, T25, 1.5 Nm
-
Turn steering wheel fully to left
-
Remove RH front liner cover
Note1x clip, 8x tabs
-
Remove RH front wheel fairing from valence
Note2x bolts, 10mm, 1.5 Nm, 1x securing tab
-
Remove RH front fender garnish
Note5x clips, 9x tabs, 1x connector, 1x locking tab Starting from the rear release garnish to access connector, After sensor is disconnected remove trim.

Release clips securing RH front wheel liner to valence
Note3x clips
-
Remove screw securing RH front of fascia to RH front fender
Note1x screw, T25, 1.5 Nm
-
Power off the vehicle using the touchscreen.
-
Disconnect the LV battery connector and First Responder Loop.
-
Disconnect front fascia assembly
Note2x connectors, 2x locking tabs, Release locking tabs then disconnect
-
Remove fasteners securing lower portion of front fascia to valence
Note3x bolts, 10mm, 3 Nm, 2x clips
-
Remove front fascia assembly from vehicle
NoteRecommend assistance, Release fascia from LH and RH fender brackets, Careful not to damage the fender bracket when removing fascia, Place on protected surface to avoid damage

Disconnect active grille shutter actuator
Note1x connector, Release locking tab
-
Disconnect ambient air sensor and push grommet through front end carrier
Note1x connector, 1x grommet
-
Raise vehicle partially and lower onto locks
NoteSet vehicle to comfortable working height, Make sure there's an audible click of the locks on both sides before lowering, otherwise vehicle may tilt to the side

Place coolant catcher below LH front of vehicle
-
Disconnect radiator inlet and outlet hoses from top LH side of radiator and allow coolant to drain
Note2x spring clips, Plug hoses and radiator as needed

Place coolant catcher below RH front of vehicle
-
Disconnect radiator inlet and outlet hoses from top RH side of radiator and allow coolant to drain
Note2x spring clips, Plug hoses and radiator as needed

Raise vehicle fully and lower lift onto locks
NoteSet vehicle to comfortable working height, Ensure an audible click of locks on both sides is heard before lowering, Vehicle may tilt to the side if both locks are not engaged

Disconnect RH cooling fan module connector
Note1x connector, Disconnect this after coolant hoses are plugged to avoid coolant damaging connector
-
Disconnect LH cooling fan module connector
Note1x connector, Disconnect this after coolant hoses are plugged to avoid coolant damaging connector

Remove bolts securing cooling fan module to front end carrier
Note2x bolts, 10mm, 10 Nm
-
Remove cooling fan module assembly from vehicle
NoteRecommend assistance, Gently place assembly on flat surface with fans down
-
Release locking tabs securing active grille shutter to cooling fan module assembly and remove active grille shutter
Note12x locking tabs, 2x clips
-
Remove 12mm radiator from fan shroud assembly
Note2x locking clips, 2x aligning guides, Slide radiator down and out
-
Clean debris from radiator
NoteVacuum both sides of radiator, Do not damage fins of radiator
-
Clean radiator with compressed air
NoteClean both sides of radiator with compressed air, Do not damage fins of radiator
-
Remove 21mm from fan shroud assembly and place fan shroud aside
Note4x locking tabs, Push the 21mm radiator away from the fan shroud assembly as you pry each tab open
-
Clean debris from radiator
NoteVacuum both sides of radiator, Do not damage fins of radiator
-
Clean radiator with compressed air
NoteClean both sides of radiator with compressed air, Do not damage fins of radiator
-
Install 21mm radiator onto fan shroud assembly
Note4x locking tabs, Align and push the 21mm radiator onto the tabs that secure it to the fan shroud assembly
-
Install 12mm radiator onto fan shroud assembly
Note2x locking clips, 2x aligning guides, Align radiator with upper guide holes then secure onto clips
-
Install active grille shutter to cooling fan module assembly
Note12x locking tabs, 2x clips, Gently place new assembly on flat surface with fans down, Align datums before engaging tabs

Install cooling fan module assembly into vehicle
NoteRecommend assistance to support the cooling fan module assembly
-
Install bolts securing cooling fan module to front end carrier
Note2x bolts, 10mm, 10 Nm

Install RH cooling fan module connector

Install LH cooling fan module connector

Lower vehicle partially and set lift onto locks
NoteRaise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered, Set vehicle to comfortable working height
-
Install radiator inlet and outlet hoses onto top RH side of radiator
Note2x spring clips, Remove plugs from both ends of each coolant connection, Perform push-pull-push test to make sure hoses are fully seated

Place coolant catcher below LH front of vehicle
-
Install radiator inlet and outlet hoses onto top LH side of radiator
Note2x spring clips, Remove plugs from both ends of each coolant connection, Perform push-pull-push test to make sure hoses are fully seated

Remove coolant catcher from under vehicle
-
Connect ambient air sensor and secure grommet onto active grille shutter
Note1x connector, 1x grommet

Connect active grille shutter actuator
Note1x connector, Engage locking tab
-
Remove coolant bottle cap
-
Fill coolant to the proper level
NoteEnsure that the fluid level filled to the Max line
-
Lower vehicle until tires are touching ground
NoteRaise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered

Install front fascia onto vehicle
NoteRecommend assistance, Slide LH and RH side of fascia into fenders, Careful not to damage the fender bracket when installing fascia

Install fasteners securing lower portion of front fascia to valence
Note3x bolts, 10mm, 3 Nm, 2x clips
-
Connect front fascia assembly
Note2x connectors, Engage locking tabs
-
Install screw securing RH front of fascia to RH front fender
Note1x screw, T25, 1.5 Nm
-
Install RH front fender garnish
Note1x connector, 5x Clips, 8x tabs, 1x locking tab Engage locking tab, Align ducting into garnish, If ducting is not aligned front leading clips will not fully engage

Install RH front wheel fairing to valence
Note2x bolts, 10mm, 1.5 Nm
-
Install RH front liner cover
Note1x clip, 8x tabs
-
Install clips securing RH front wheel liner to valence
Note3x clips
-
Connect the First Responder Loop and LV battery connector.
-
Press brake pedal to turn on drive rails
-
Turn steering wheel fully to right
-
Install screw securing LH front of fascia to LH front fender
Note1x screw, T25, 1.5 Nm, Ensure proper fascia-to-fender flushness and gap
-
Install LH front fender garnish
Note1x connector, 5x Clips, 8x tabs, 1x locking tab Engage locking tab, Align ducting into garnish, If ducting is not aligned front leading clips will not fully engage

Install LH front wheel fairing to valence
Note2x bolts, 10mm, 1.5 Nm, 1x securing tab
-
Install LH front liner cover
Note1x clip, 8x tabs
-
Secure LH front wheel liner to valence
Note3x clips
-
Install bolts securing upper portion of front fascia
Note4x bolts, 10mm, 7 Nm, Ensure proper fascia-to-headlamp gap and flushness
-
Release IP service panel
Note2x tabs, 4x datums, Release top tabs and slide rearward
-
Connect to vehicle using Toolbox
NoteNavigate to https://toolbox.teslamotors.com and establish connection to vehicle, Select connection status icon at top right corner then select connect locally, Icon will turn green when connected, Successful connection will automatically unlock vehicle gateway and place UI in Service Mode Plus, Media converter box powered by laptop USB or 12v power outlet, Ethernet connection will provide communication, If RJ45 ethernet connector present at service panel media converter box not required, Vehicles built 4/5/2024 onwards have OBDII connection integrated into drivers lower IP cover, Use OBDII connection if this applies, Some vehicles may have both RJ45 and OBDII, If vehicle has both RJ45 and OBD-II then connect via RJ45, For local connection issues with Toolbox refer to https://toolbox.teslamotors.com/articles/43695

Select "Actions/Autodiag" tab and search for "Purge"

Select TEST_VCFRONT_X_THERMAL-COOLANT-AIR-PURGE, click "Run", and allow routine to complete
NoteMake sure vehicle is not in drive state, Routine is still running despite the stop message, Coolant pumps will be audible, Test lasts approximately 10 mins, Putting vehicle into drive state will stop this routine, Monitor levels as required

Inspect coolant level and top off as necessary
NoteEnsure that the fluid level is at the Max line, Top off fluid as required

Install coolant bottle cap

Select ‘Actions/Autodiag’ and search for ‘Thermal’
-
Select ‘Thermal System Performance Test ’, click ‘Run’, and allow routine to complete
NoteSelect ‘X’ at top right of window to close once complete
-
Disconnect the laptop and ethernet diag kit (if used) from the vehicle.

Install the IP service panel.

Calibrate the RH falcon wing door.

Calibrate the LH falcon wing door.

Press brake pedal to turn on drive rails
-
Turn steering wheel back to center
-
Lower and remove the vehicle from the lift.
- Raise both front windows.
- Close the LH front door.
