1. Open the LH front door.
2. Lower both front windows.
3. Move the LH front seat backward.
4. Remove LH IP end cap
   Note

   7x clips, 1x datum, Ensure clip at IP carrier is released fully before removal

   

   

   

5. Remove LH mid A-pillar trim
   Note

   2x clips, 3x datums, Release clips from upper A-pillar and IP sub assembly, Lift mid A-pillar trim out of lower A-pillar trim

   

   

   

6. Remove LH front door sill trim panel
   Note

   8x clips, 3x datums

   

   

7. Remove LH lower A-pillar trim
   Note

   1x bolt, T25, 5 Nm, 2x clips

   

8. Remove IP LH mid panel
   Note

   6x tabs

   

   

   

9. Adjust steering column fully out and fully down
   Note

   Via UI > Controls > Steering , Use left steering wheel scroll wheel to adjust steering column

   

   

   

10. Open the RH front door.
11. Move the RH front seat backward.
12. Open the hood.

    

13. Power off the vehicle using the touchscreen.

    

14. Remove the rear underhood apron.

    

    

15. Disconnect the LV battery connector and First Responder Loop.

    

    

    

16. Remove RH front floor mat

    

17. Remove RH footwell cover
    Note

    3x magnets, 1x connector, 4x datums

    

    

18. Remove RH console side carpet
    Note

    11x clips, 2x datums

    

    

19. Remove RH front door sill trim panel
    Note

    8x clips, 3x datums

    

    

20. Remove RH IP end cap
    Note

    3x clips

    

21. Remove RH mid A-pillar trim
    Note

    2x clips, 3x datums, Release clips from upper A-pillar and IP sub assembly, Lift mid A-pillar trim out of lower A-pillar trim

    

    

    

22. Remove RH lower A-pillar trim
    Note

    1x bolt, T25, 5 Nm, 2x clips, 1x datum

    

    

    

23. Release phone dock
    Note

    4x clips, 2x datums, Pull up at bottom and swing out from under instrument panel

    

    

24. Remove phone dock
    Note

    3x connectors, 1x clip, Take caution to release connector locks before pulling straight out of each socket to avoid damage

    

    

25. Release the IP service panel.

    

    

    

26. Release diagnostic and CAN harnesses from IP service panel
    Note

    2x clips

    

    

27. Remove IP service panel
    Note

    1x connector

    

    

28. Remove center display bracket bolts
    Note

    2x bolts, 10mm, 11.5 Nm

    

    

29. Release center display motor connectors
    Note

    2x connectors

    

    

30. Remove center display shroud
    Note

    3x tabs, Slide display outwards until shroud fully clears IP and support, Release the bottom tabs and pull upward

    

    

31. Release center display coax and power connectors
    Note

    2x connectors, 1x clip, Slide display rearward outwards from IP bracket and support during connector release

    

32. Remove center display
    Note

    Slide rearward, Place on soft clean surface

    

33. Remove IP closeout panel
    Note

    4x tabs

    

    

    

34. Remove IP RH mid Panel
    Note

    14x tabs, 2 datums

    

    

35. Remove fasteners securing RH knee air bag assembly to vehicle
    Note

    2x bolts, 10mm, 8 Nm, 1x clip, Discard fasteners after removal

    

36. Remove the RH knee air bag assembly from vehicle
    Note

    2x connectors, 1x clip, 6x tabs, Release 2x locking tab on air bag connector

    

    

37. Release glove box
    Note

    5x screws, T20, 3 Nm

    

    

38. Release glove box connectors
    Note

    3x connectors

    

39. Remove USB outlet
    Note

    2x screws, T20, 3 Nm, 1x clip

    

40. Remove glove box

    

41. Remove IP Decor
    Note

    21x clips, 6x datums, 4x connectors, Release each IP decor connector clip from IP carrier then disconnect from IP harness

    

    

    

    

    

42. Release driver air bag assembly away from steering wheel
    Note

    2x spring clips, 2x datums, Press the spring simultaneously from two access holes to release, Access holes located at 4 and 8 o’clock position, Do not insert tool too far as air bag connector could be damaged

    

    

    

    

43. Remove driver air bag assembly
    Note

    1x connector, 2x tabs

    

44. Disconnect steering wheel connector
    Note

    1x connector, 2x tabs

    

45. Release steering wheel
    Note

    1x patch bolt, 10mm allen, 80 Nm, Discard after removal

    

    

46. Remove steering wheel
    Note

    Note that the steering wheel is splined to the column

    

    

    

    

47. Remove LH front floor mat

    

48. Remove LH outboard footwell cover
    Note

    2x magnets, 2x datums

    

    

49. Remove LH inboard footwell cover
    Note

    1x cover, 1x clip, 1x datum, 1x screw, 8 mm, 1 Nm

    

    

    

50. Remove fasteners securing LH knee air bag assembly to vehicle
    Note

    2x patch bolts, E10, 8 Nm, Discard after removal

    

51. Remove the LH knee air bag assembly from vehicle
    Note

    3x connectors, 1x clip, 6x tabs, Release 2x locking tab on airbag connector

    

    

    

52. Release upper steering column shroud from lower instrument panel assembly
    Note

    2x clips

    

    

53. Remove lower instrument panel assembly
    Note

    8x screws, T20, 3 Nm, 8x tabs, Release assembly and carefully guide over upper steering column

    

    

    

    

54. Install lower instrument panel assembly
    Note

    8x screws, T20, 3 Nm, 8x tabs, Guide over upper steering column, Engage all tabs before starting screws

    

    

    

    

55. Secure upper steering column shroud to lower instrument panel assembly
    Note

    2x clips

    

    

56. Install the LH knee air bag assembly into vehicle
    Note

    1x clip, 3x connectors, 6x tabs, Hook tabs before fully seating, Use caution not to damage the connector/harness, Support the knee air bag while connecting the connectors

    

    

57. Install fasteners securing LH knee air bag assembly to vehicle
    Note

    2x patch bolts, E10, 8 Nm, Install new fasteners

    

58. Install LH console side carpet
    Note

    11x clips, 2x datums

    

    

59. Install LH inboard footwell cover
    Note

    1x cover, 1x clip, 1x datum, 1x screw, 8 mm, 1 Nm, Align datums and footwell vent before installing screw

    

    

    

    

60. Install LH outboard footwell cover
    Note

    2x magnets, 2x datums

    

    

61. Install LH front floor mat

    

62. Install steering wheel
    Note

    Note that the steering wheel is splined to the column and can only be installed in the correct position

    

    

    

    

63. Install bolt securing steering wheel to steering column
    Note

    1x patch bolt, 10mm allen, 80 Nm, Install new patch bolt

    

64. Secure steering wheel connector
    Note

    1x connector, 2x tabs

    

65. Secure driver air bag connector
    Note

    1x connector, 2x tabs

    

    

66. Install driver air bag assembly to yoke steering wheel
    Note

    2x datums, 2x spring clip, Position driver air bag onto yoke steering wheel, Align datums onto the clips, Press down on one side of the air bag until clip is fully seated, then repeat on other side, You should hear an audible click, Perform pull test on each side of driver air bag assembly, Confirm the gap and space between driver air bag assembly to yoke steering wheel is symmetrical

    

    

    

67. Install IP Decor
    Note

    21x clips, 6x datums, 4x connectors, Connect ambient bright harness, Secure each IP decor connector clip to IP carrier, Secure IP decor to lower instrument panel

    

    

    

    

    

68. Secure USB outlet
    Note

    2x screws, T20, 2 Nm, 1x clip, Ensure USB socket flush in glove box

    

    

    

69. Secure glove box connectors
    Note

    3x connectors, Route harness through glove box datums

    

70. Install glove box
    Note

    5x screws, T20, 3 Nm

    

    

71. Install RH knee air bag assembly onto vehicle
    Note

    2x connectors, 6x tabs, 1x clip, Hook tabs before fully seating, Use caution not to damage the connector/harness, Support the knee air bag while connecting the connector

    

    

    

72. Install fasteners securing RH knee air bag assembly to vehicle
    Note

    2x bolts, 10mm, 8 Nm, 1x clip

    

73. Install RH console side carpet
    Note

    11x clips, 2x datums

    

    

74. Install RH footwell cover
    Note

    3x magnets, 4x datums, 1x connector

    

    

75. Install RH lower A-pillar trim
    Note

    1x bolt, T25, 5 Nm, 2x clips, 1x datum

    

    

76. Install RH mid A-pillar trim
    Note

    2x clips, 3x datums, Verify weather seal is seated properly

    

    

    

77. Install RH IP end cap
    Note

    3x clips

    

78. Install RH front door sill trim panel
    Note

    8x clips, 3x datums

    

    

79. Install RH front floor mat

    

80. Install IP RH mid Panel
    Note

    14x tabs, 2 datums

    

    

    

81. Install IP closeout panel
    Note

    4x tabs

    

    

    

82. Route display harness behind LH display bracket

    

83. Secure center display coax and power connectors
    Note

    2x connectors, 1x clip, Ensure strain relief clip is secure to linkage arm, Replace clip if damaged

    

84. Install center display shroud
    Note

    3x tabs, Slide display downward until shroud tabs fully engages

    

    

85. Secure center display to IP carrier
    Note

    2x bolts, 10mm, 11.5 Nm, Slide center display into IP carrier, Start RH bolt first

    

    

    

86. Secure center display motor connectors
    Note

    2x connectors, Slide center display assembly fully into IP brackets after securing connectors

    

    

87. Secure IP service panel connector
    Note

    1x connector

    

    

88. Secure diagnostic and CAN harnesses to IP service panel
    Note

    2x clips

    

    

    

89. Install the IP service panel.

    

    

90. Install phone dock connections
    Note

    3x connectors, 1x clip

    

    

91. Install phone dock
    Note

    2x datums, 4 tabs, Slide datums forward into IP and secure tabs down into center console

    

    

92. Connect the First Responder Loop and LV battery connector.

    

    

93. Install the rear underhood apron.

    

    

94. Close the hood.
95. Move the RH front seat to its original position.
96. Calibrate the RH falcon wing door.

    

97. Close the RH front door.
98. Install IP LH mid panel
    Note

    6x tabs

    

    

    

99. Install LH lower A-pillar trim
    Note

    1x bolt, T25, 5 Nm, 2x clips

    

100. Install LH front door sill trim panel
     Note

     8x clips, 3x datums

     

     

101. Install LH mid A-pillar trim
     Note

     2x clips, 3x datums, Insert mid A-pillar trim into lower A-pillar trim, Secure clips into upper A-pillar and IP sub assembly, Verify weather seal is seated properly

     

     

     

102. Install LH IP end cap
     Note

     7x clips, 1x datum

     

     

103. Adjust steering column back to original position
     Note

     Via UI>Controls>Steering , Use left steering wheel scroll wheel to adjust steering column

     

     

     

104. Move the LH front seat to its original position.
105. Calibrate the LH falcon wing door.

     

106. Raise both front windows.
107. Close the LH front door.
