Actuator Assembly - Release - EZ Entry - 2nd Row - RH (7 Seat) (Remove and Replace)

Remove
- Remove the RH 2nd row seat assembly from the vehicle. See Seat Assembly - 2nd Row - RH (7 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
- Fold the RH 2nd row seat back to the upright position.
- Remove the RH 2nd row recliner lever. See Lever - Recliner - 2nd Row - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the RH 2nd row recliner cover. See Cover - Recliner - 2nd Row - LH (Remove and Replace).

Remove and discard the bolt that
attaches the RH 2nd row seatbelt to the seat assembly, and then remove the seatbelt from
the assembly.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- T50 socket

Disconnect the RH 2nd row seatbelt
buckle harness connector, and then release the clips (x2) that attach the connector and
harness to the seat assembly.

Remove the bolt that attaches the RH
2nd row seatbelt buckle to the seat assembly, and then remove the buckle from the
assembly.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- T50 socket
-
Release the J-clips (x6) that attach
the RH 2nd row seat cushion trim to the seat bracket assembly, and then release the trim
from the bracket.

Disconnect the RH 2nd row heater and
seat belt reminder electrical connectors, and then release the clip that attaches the
harness to the seat assembly.
-
Remove the RH 2nd row seat cushion
sub-assembly from the seat assembly.
NoteGuide the harness and tension flaps underneath the seat back.

Release the lower portion of the RH
2nd row seat seat back sub-assembly from the seat frame.
NoteGuide the harness and tension flaps through the seat back frame.

Remove the screw that attaches the
splitter box to the RH 2nd row seat assembly.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- T20 socket
-
Cut the cable ties, and then release
the tabs (x2) to open the splitter box to access the recline release actuator
cables.
-
Release the recline release actuator
cables (x2) from the splitter box.
-
Release the recline release actuator
cable clip from the lower rear portion of the seat frame.
-
Release the elastic bands (x2) at the
RH 2nd row seat inboard outer hinge cover.
- Remove the RH 2nd row seat inboard side shield. See Side Shield - Inboard - 2nd Row Seat - RH (5 Seat) (Remove and Replace).

Remove the push clip that attaches the
RH 2nd row seat inboard lower hinge cover to the seat assembly, and then remove the
cover from the seat assembly.

Release the cable from the clip on the
LH side of the seat frame.
-
Rotate the LH side hinge lever 90
degrees to align the tab, and then pull the recline release actuator cable away from the
hinge lever to release it.

Remove the screw and push clips (x2)
that attach the RH 2nd row seat inboard lower hinge cover to the seat assembly, and then
remove the cover from the seat assembly.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- T20 socket
-
Release the recline release actuator
cable from the RH side cable mount.
-
Rotate the RH side hinge lever 90
degrees to align the tab, and then pull the recline release actuator cable away from the
hinge lever to release it.
-
Disconnect the recline release
actuator connector.
-
Remove the screw that attaches the
actuator to the bracket.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- T15 socket
-
Release the tabs (x2) that attach the
RH 2nd row EZ entry release actuator assembly to the bracket, and then remove the
actuator assembly from the seat assembly.
Install
-
Position the RH 2nd row EZ entry
release actuator assembly into the bracket, and then secure the tabs (x2) that attach
the actuator assembly to the seat assembly.

Install the screw that attaches the
actuator to the bracket.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- T15 socket
-
Connect the recline release actuator
connector.
-
Hold the LH side hinge lever down to
align the tab, insert the recline release actuator cable, and then rotate the hinge
lever 90 degrees to secure it.
-
Secure the cable to the clip on the LH
side of the seat frame.
-
Position the RH 2nd row seat inboard lower hinge cover to the seat assembly, and then
install the push clip that attaches the cover to the seat assembly.
- Install the RH 2nd row seat inboard side shield. See Side Shield - Inboard - 2nd Row Seat - RH (5 Seat) (Remove and Replace).

Secure the elastic bands (x2) at the RH 2nd row seat inboard outer hinge cover.
-
Hold the RH side hinge lever down to allow the cable to reach the hole, insert the
cable end, and then rotate 90 degrees to secure.

Secure the recline release actuator
cable to the RH side cable mount.
-
Position the RH 2nd row seat inboard lower hinge cover to the seat assembly, and then
install the screw and push clips (x2) that attach the cover to the seat assembly.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- T20 socket

Secure the recline release actuator cable clip to the lower rear portion of the seat
frame.

Secure the lower portion of the RH 2nd
row seat back cushion to the seat frame.
NoteGuide the harness and tension flaps through the seat back frame.

Connect the recline release actuator cable to the splitter box.
NoteThe recline release actuator cable is the silver cable.
-
Secure the tabs (x2) to close the
splitter box, and then install cable ties (x2) to secure the splitter box.
NoteCut off excess cable tie ends.

Install the screw that attaches the splitter box to the RH 2nd row seat
assembly.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- T20 socket

Hold the RH side hinge lever down to
allow the cable to reach the hole, insert the cable end, and then rotate 90 degrees to
secure.
-
Secure the RH side cable clip to the
seat frame
-
Position the RH 2nd row seat cushion
into the seat assembly.
NoteGuide the harness and tension flaps underneath the seat back.
-
Secure the clip that attaches the seat
harness to the RH 2nd row seat assembly, and then connect the heater and seat belt
reminder electrical connectors.
-
Secure the J-clips (x6) that attach
the RH 2nd row seat cushion trim to the seat bracket assembly.
-
Slide the upper tabs of the RH 2nd row
seat inner hinge cover onto the seat frame, and then secure the clip and tabs (x4) that
attach the cover to the seat assembly.
-
Position the RH 2nd row seatbelt
buckle to the seat assembly, and then install the bolt that attaches the buckle to the
assembly.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- T50 socket

Secure the clips (x2) that attach the
RH 2nd row seatbelt buckle connector and harness to the seat assembly, and then connect
the seatbelt buckle connector.

Position the RH 2nd row seatbelt to
the seat assembly, and then install a new bolt that attaches the seatbelt to the
assembly.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- T50 socket
- Install the RH 2nd row recliner cover. See Cover - Recliner - 2nd Row - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Install the RH 2nd row recliner lever. See Lever - Recliner - 2nd Row - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Fold the RH 2nd row seat back to the down position.

Install the RH 2nd row seat assembly.

NoteIt is not necessary to redeploy software after install.
