- Release the clip that attaches the rear subframe electrical harness from the LH wheel well.
-
Slide the red connector locking tab,
open the black release lever, and then disconnect the rear drive unit LH HV harness from
the HV battery.
NoteRepeat for the rear drive unit RH HV harness.
- Remove the bolts (x4) that attach the rear stabilizer bar to the rear subframe, and then remove the stabilzer bar from the subframe.
- Position the subframe lift underneath the rear subframe.
- Connect the supply air hose to the subframe lift.
-
Raise the subframe lift to the vehicle
subframe, and preload.
NoteIf the vehicle is too high, lower the subframe lift, lower the vehicle, and then raise the subframe lift.
- Route a ratchet strap between the rear drive unit and the subframe lift, and then use the ratchet strap to secure the drive unit to the lift.
- Loosen, but do not remove the bolts (x4) that attach the rear subframe to the body.
- Use a power tool to remove the bolts (x4) that attach the rear subframe to the body.
- Slightly lower the subframe lift so that there is about 60 mm of separation between the body and the subframe.
-
Release clip that attaches the ground
strap to the rear subframe.
- Remove the bolt that attaches the ground strap to the rear drive unit LH inverter, and then remove the ground strap from the vehicle.
Install
-
Install the ground strap to the rear
drive unit LH inverter, and then install the bolt that attaches the ground strap to the
inverter.
-
Fasten clip that attaches the ground
strap to the rear subframe.
- Raise the subframe lift until the subframe just makes contact with the body, and then use the power tool to install the bolts (x4) that attach the rear subframe to the body.
-
Tighten the bolts (x4) that attach the
rear subframe to the vehicle.
- Release the ratchet strap that secures the rear drive unit to the powertrain lift, and then remove the strap from the lift.
- Completely lower the subframe lift, disconnect the supply air hose, and then move the subframe lift out from under the vehicle.
-
Verify that the black release lever of
the LH rear drive unit HV harness connector is in the open position, install the
connector flat and square to the HV battery LH HV header, secure the release lever to
the closed position, and then slide the red connector locking tab.
NoteRepeat for the RH rear drive unit HV harness.
