Seat Belt Reminder - 2nd Row - LH (6 Seat)(Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the LH underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - LH (Remove and Replace).
  2. Remove the 2nd row LH seat back cover See Cover - Seat Back - 2nd Row Seat - LH (6 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the fasteners( X4) securing back cushion to seat back frame.
    5 Nm (3.7 lbs-ft)
  4. Disconnect seat cushion heater.
  5. Disconnect SBR connector.
  6. Disconnect green seat back heater connector.
  7. Release green seat back heater connector from seat back assembly.
  8. Release seatback upholstery from seat assembly.

    Note
    Starting at the outer LH rear corner, release the upper cushion upholstery away from the bottom of the seat frame, limit use of 90 pick only to release J clip as upholstery could be damaged by poking hole through upholstery.
  9. Release seat back cushion from seat frame and pull forward to gain to 2nd row seat escutcheon.
  10. Remove fasteners (X3) securing 2nd row seat escutcheon
    2 Nm (1.5 lbs-ft)
  11. Pull escutcheon away from seat back to release then slide seat belt through escutcheon trim to remove escutcheon from the seat cushion trim.
  12. Remove caps (X2) covering under lower trim fasteners.
  13. Remove fasteners (X2) securing under lower trim panel.
    8 Nm (5.9 lbs-ft)
  14. Release clips securing lower trim panel to seat frame.

    CAUTION
    Use caution when release lower trim as comfort seat switch harness is short in length.
  15. Disconnect lower trim panel seat switch.
  16. Separate upholstery from plastic base.
  17. Fold seat cushion back.
  18. Remove fasteners securing pitch mechanism to the seat frame.

    2x bolts, T50, 20 Nm, 2x nuts, 13mm, 20 Nm, hold on to each nut from underneath, as the bolt is being removed.
  19. Remove lower seat trim panel.

    Pull lower seat trim panel forward to remove from seat frame.
  20. Remove bolt that secures seat belt anchor to seat frame.

    Note
    1x bolt, T45P, 40 Nm, 1x nyloc nut, 17mm, 40 Nm, 1x Seat frame washer, discard nyloc nut after removal
  21. Release seat belt anchor escutcheon.

    4x tabs, Gently pry tabs while pulling seat belt anchor escutcheon away from seat cushion to release.
  22. Route seat belt through lower and upper cushions and remove seat back assembly.
  23. Release seat cushion J hooks from spring matt.

    3x J hooks, release seat cushion J hooks from spring matt.
  24. Remove headrest upholstery fasteners.
    2 Nm (1.5 lbs-ft)
  25. Release headrest upholstery from seat assembly.

    Note

  26. Release upholstery straps from seat back frame.
  27. Release side bolster J hooks from seat back assembly.
  28. Remove RH side foam bolster from seat assembly.

    Carefully remove RH side foam bolster from seat assembly.
  29. Remove seat back assembly fasteners (X2).
    5 Nm (3.7 lbs-ft)
  30. Remove air bag fasteners.

    2x nuts, 13mm, 10 Nm.
  31. Slide side air bag from upholstery air bag pouch.

    Note
    Carefully remove side air bag from upholstery pouch and rest air bag off to the side of seat assembly.
  32. Remove LH side foam bolster from seat assembly.

    Note
    Remove LH side foam bolster from cushion upholstery.
  33. Remove seat cushion and cushion upholstery from seat assembly and place on work bench.
  34. Route seat cushion heater connector from upholstery.

    Route seat cushion heater connector through slit in upholstery.
  35. Remove seat cushion upholstery from seat cushion.
  36. Peel back RH heater pad flap covering SBR harness from seat cushion foam.

    Note
    Gently peel back RH heater pad flap from cushion foam.
  37. Remove SBR from seat cushion foam.

    Note
    Gently release remove SBR from seat cushion foam, Slide SBR from under seat cushion heater pad.

Install

  1. Install SBR to seat cushion foam

    Slide SBR under heat pad press into place to secure to cushion foam, ensure SBR harness routes into channel at rear of seat cushion foam.
  2. Secure RH heater pad flap covering SBR harness to seat cushion foam.
  3. Install seat cushion upholstery to seat cushion.
  4. Route seat cushion heater connector through upholstery.
  5. Position seat cushion upholstery to seat assembly.

    Note
    Position seat cushion to seat and place head rest upholstery onto seat assembly headrest, Ensure belt buckle inserts into seat cushion.
  6. Install LH side foam bolster to seat assembly.

    Slide side air bag upholstery pouch through LH side foam bolster.
  7. Insert side air bag into upholstery air bag pouch.
  8. Install side air bag to seat frame.

    2x nuts, 13mm, 10 Nm.
  9. Install seat back assembly fasteners.

    2x screws, T25, 5 Nm.
  10. Install RH side foam bolster to seat assembly.

    Carefully install RH side foam bolster to seat assembly.
  11. Install side bolster J hooks to seat back assembly.
  12. Install headrest upholstery to seat assembly.

    Note
    2x J clips, Press J clips into seat assembly with plastic trim tool to fully secure.
  13. Install headrest upholstery fasteners.
    2 Nm (1.5 lbs-ft)
  14. Secure upholstery straps to seat back frame.
  15. Secure seat cushion J hooks to spring matt.
  16. Route seat belt harness through seat back assembly .

    Note
    Ensure that seat belt anchor escutcheon is routed onto seat belt prior to seat belt anchor being routed through seat cushion, do not install seat belt anchor escutcheon at this time.
  17. Install 2nd row seat escutcheon into seat back cushion trim.

    Note
    Slide seat thought trim and temp set in seat cushion trim.
  18. Install 2nd row seat escutcheon fasteners.
    2 Nm (1.5 lbs-ft)
  19. Install seat back cushion on to seat back frame.
  20. Install the fasteners that secure seat back cushion to seat back frame.
    5 Nm (3.7 lbs-ft)
  21. Connect SBR connector.
  22. Connect seat cushion heater.
  23. Secure 2nd row LH seat OBSB heat pad connector.
  24. Connect 2nd row LH OBSB heat pad.
  25. Install the 2nd row LH seat back cover See Cover - Seat Back - 2nd Row Seat - LH (6 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  26. Install the LH underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - LH (Remove and Replace).
