Cover - Filter - HEPA (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the wiper module. See Wiper Module (Remove and Replace).
  2. Remove the LV battery. See Battery - LV (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the bolts (x4) that attach the wiper mount bracket to the vehicle, and then maneuver the bracket to towards the RH shock tower along the multi-system beam to clear the HEPA filter housing to remove it from the vehicle.
    25 Nm (18.4 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 13 mm socket
  4. Disconnect the air quality sensor harness connector.
  5. Rotate the harness sensor counterclockwise to release the tab, and then remove the sensor from the vehicle.
  6. Release the tabs (x2) that attach the HEPA filter cover to the vehicle, and then remove the cover from the vehicle.

Install

  1. Position the HEPA filter cover into the vehicle, and then secure the tabs that attach the cover to the vehicle.

    Make sure the datums (x2) and slots (x2) are aligned.

    Fully engage the seal and locking tabs.
  2. Position the harness sensor into the vehicle, and then rotate the sensor clockwise to secure the tab.
  3. Connect the air quality sensor harness connector.
  4. Position the wiper mount bracket into the vehicle, install the bolts (x4) that attach the bracket to the vehicle.
    25 Nm (18.4 lbs-ft)

    Note
    Slide bracket the bracket from the RH shock tower area along the multi-system beam to clear the HEPA filter housing.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 13 mm socket
  5. Install the LV battery, but do not connect LV power yet. See Battery - LV (Remove and Replace).
  6. Install the wiper module. See Wiper Module (Remove and Replace).
