Seat Back Carpet - 3rd Row - LH (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open the LH falcon wing door.
  2. Open the liftgate.
  3. Fold the 2nd row 60 seat downwards.
  4. Remove the rear trunk load floor. See Trunk Load Floor - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  5. Fold the LH 3rd row seat downwards.
  6. Drill out the rivets (x2) that attach the LH 3rd row seat back carpet to the seat.

    Note
    Use a 3/16" or 3mm drill bit to remove the rivets.

    Use a vacuum to collect debris while drilling out the rivets.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Drill 1/2in chuck electric
    • Drill bit set
    • Vacuum
  7. Release the clips (x9) that attach the LH 3rd row seat back carpet to the seat, and then remove the carpet from the vehicle.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Plastic trim tool

Install

  1. Position the LH 3rd row seat back carpet on the vehicle, and then install the clips (x9) that attach the carpet to the seat.
  2. Install the rivets (x2) that attach the LH 3rd row seat back carpet to the seat.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Plastic rivet setter kit
  3. Install the rear trunk load floor. See Trunk Load Floor - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  4. Unfold the LH 3rd row seat into original position.
  5. Close the liftgate.
  6. Unfold the 2nd row 60 seat into original position.
  7. Close the LH falcon wing door.
