Glove Box (Remove and Replace)

Remove
- Open the front doors and lower the front windows.
- Move front passenger seat rearward.
- Remove the front passenger floor mat.
- Remove the passenger footwell cover. See Cover - Footwell - Passenger (Remove and Replace)
- Remove the RH center console side carpet. See Carpet - Side Panel - Center Console - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the RH front sill panel trim. See Trim - Sill Panel - Front - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the RH IP end cap. See End Cap - Instrument Panel - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the RH middle A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Middle - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the RH lower A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
- Disconnect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).

Remove the instrument panel service panel. See Service Panel - Instrument Panel (Remove and Replace)
NoteIt is not necessary to remove the cabin temperature sensor fan from the service panel.

Remove the touchscreen assembly. See
Touchscreen (HW3) (Remove and Replace).
NoteIt is not necessary to remove the display mechanism from the touchscreen after the assembly has been removed from the instrument panel.
- Remove the RH instrument panel middle trim. See Trim - Middle - Instrument Panel - RH (Remove and Replace).

Remove the front passenger knee airbag assembly. See Knee Airbag - Front Passenger (Remove and Replace).
NoteIt is not necessary to remove the components from the knee airbag assembly after the assembly has been removed from the IP.

Remove the screws (x5) that attach the
glove box to the vehicle, and then release the glove box from the instrument panel.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T20 socket

Disconnect the glove box electrical
connectors (x3).

Remove the screws (x2) and release the
clip that attach the USB outlet to the glove box assembly, and then remove the outlet
from the assembly.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T20 socket

Remove the glove box from the
vehicle.
Install

Position the USB outlet into the glove
box assembly, and then install the screws (x2) and secure the clip that attach the
outlet to the glove box assembly.NoteMake sure the USB socket is flush in the glove box.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T20 socket

Connect the glove box electrical connectors (x3), and then route the harness through
the glove box datums.

Install the screws (x5) that attach the glove box to the vehicle.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T20 socket
- Install the front passenger knee airbag assembly. See Knee Airbag - Front Passenger (Remove and Replace).
- Install the RH center console side carpet. See Carpet - Side Panel - Center Console - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Install the passenger footwell cover. See Cover - Footwell - Passenger (Remove and Replace)
- Install the RH lower A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Install the RH middle A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Middle - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Install the RH IP end cap. See End Cap - Instrument Panel - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Install the RH front sill panel trim. See Trim - Sill Panel - Front - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Install the front passenger floor mat.
- Install the instrument panel RH middle trim. See Trim - Middle - Instrument Panel - RH (Remove and Replace).

Position the instrument panel closeout
panel to the instrument panel, and then secure the tabs (x4) that attach the closeout
panel to the instrument panel.
- Install the touchscreen assembly. See Touchscreen (HW3) (Remove and Replace).
- Install the instrument panel service panel. See Service Panel - Instrument Panel (Remove and Replace)
- Connect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
- Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
- Move the front passenger seat to the original position.

Calibrate the rear doors.
NoteIf the "Calibration Needed" message appears on the vehicle touchscreen, touch and hold Calibrate to calibrate the rear doors
- Raise the front windows and close the LH front door.
- Close LH front door
