Trim - Liftgate Trough - Center (Remove and Replace)

Remove
- Open the LH and RH front doors.
- Lower the LH and RH front windows.
- Move the LH and RH front seats forward.
- Open the LH and RH falcon wing doors.
- Fold the 2nd row 40 and 60 seats downward.
- Open the liftgate.
- Remove the LH and RH side rear trunk garnish. See Garnish - Rear Trunk - Side - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the LH and RH mid C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Mid - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the LH and RH upper C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the liftgate power strut. See Power Strut - Liftgate (Remove and Replace).

Partially release the clips (x7) that
attach the RH rear headliner to the vehicle.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Plastic trim tool

Disconnect the liftgate harness
connectors (x4).

Release the clips (x5) that attach the
liftgate harness to the body.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Clip pry tool

Remove the bolt that attaches the
liftgate harness ground strap to the body.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm deep socket
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench

Release the liftgate harness grommet
from the body, and then remove the harness from the vehicle.

Remove the screws (x2) that attach the
center liftgate trough trim to the body.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 4 in extension
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- Torx T20 socket

Release the clips (x4) and double
sided tape strips (x5) that attach the center liftgate trough trim to the body, and then
remove the trim from the vehicle.
Install

Use IPA wipes to clean and remove
adhesive residue from the body surface area. Allow 1 minute dry time.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- IPA wipes

Remove the backing tape from the
center liftgate trough trim, position the trim on the vehicle, and then install the
clips (x4) and double sided tape strips (x5) that attach the trim to the body.
NotePartially lift the main seal for better access if needed.

Install the screws (x2) that attach
the center liftgate trough trim to the body.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 4 in extension
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- Torx T20 socket

Position the liftgate harness on the
vehicle, and then install the harness grommet on the body.

Install the bolt that attaches the
liftgate harness ground strap to the body.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm deep socket
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- Ratchet/torque wrench

Install the clips (x5) that attach the
liftgate harness to the body.

Connect the liftgate harness
connectors (x4).

Install the clips (x7) that attach the
RH rear headliner to the vehicle.
- Install the LH and RH upper C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Install the LH and RH mid C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Mid - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Install the LH and RH side rear trunk garnish. See Garnish - Rear Trunk - Side - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Install the liftgate power strut. See Power Strut - Liftgate (Remove and Replace).
- Close the liftgate.
- Fold the 2nd row 40 and 60 seats into original position.
- Close the LH and RH falcon wing doors.
- Move the LH and RH front seats to original position.
- Close the LH and RH front doors.
- Raise the LH and RH front windows.
- Close the LH and RH front doors.
