Remove
- Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
- Open the liftgate.

Use an underhoist stand to support the
liftgate.
NotePlace a towel in-between the stand and the liftgate to prevent damage to the liftgate trim.
- Release the upper C-clip, separate the LH liftgate power strut from the ball stud, and then move the power strut aside.

Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the
LH liftgate ball stud to the vehicle, and then remove the ball stud from the
vehicle.12 Nm (8.8 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T30 socket
Install

Position the LH liftgate ball stud
into the vehicle, and then install the bolts (x2) that attach the ball stud to the
vehicle.12 Nm (8.8 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T30 socket

Install the LH liftgate power strut
onto the ball stud, and then install the C-clip.
NoteVerify that the c-clip is full secured on the ball stud.
- Remove the liftgate support.
- Close the liftgate.
- Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
