Closeout Panel - Door - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the LH rear door trim lower garnish. See Garnish - Lower - Door Trim - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
  2. Remove the LH rear door trim decor. See Decor - Trim - Rear Door - LH (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the LH rear door trim panel. See Panel - Door Trim - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
  4. Disconnect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  5. Release the orange locking tab, and then disconnect the LH falcon wing door air bag electrical connector.
  6. Remove the screws (x10) that attach the LH rear door closeout panel to the LH rear door.
    1.8 Nm (1.3 lbs-ft)

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T25 socket
  7. Remove the screws (x3) that attach the LH rear window motor to the LH rear door closeout panel.
    1.8 Nm (1.3 lbs-ft)

    • Torx T30 socket
  8. Release the black locking tab, and then disconnect the LH falcon wing door protection ECU.
  9. Disconnect the electrical connectors (x2) from the LH falcon wing door module.
  10. Release the clips (x7) that attach the harnesses and connectors to the LH rear door closeout panel.
  11. Release the clip, and then feed the door release cable through the LH rear door closeout panel.
  12. Release the tabs (x2) that attach the LH rear door closeout panel to the LH rear door, pull the closeout panel away from door, and then lift the window motor upward to release it.
  13. Release the clip that attaches the LH rear window regulator to the LH rear door closeout panel.
  14. Remove the screws (x3) that attach the LH rear door controller to the LH rear door closeout panel, and then remove the controller from the closeout panel.

  15. Remove the screws (x2) that attach the LH rear door ultrasonic ECU to the LH rear door closeout panel, and then remove the ECU from the closeout panel.

  16. Release the clip that attaches the dummy plug to the LH rear door closeout panel, and then remove the plug from the closeout panel.
  17. Remove the clip in the LH rear door closeout panel.

Install

  1. Install the clip into the LH rear door closeout panel.
  2. Install the dummy plug into the LH rear door closeout panel.
  3. Position the LH rear door ultrasonic ECU onto the LH rear door closeout panel, and then install the screws (x2) that attach the ECU to the closeout panel.
    2.5 Nm (1.8 lbs-ft)

    • Torx T20 socket
  4. Position the LH rear door controller to the LH rear door closeout panel, and then install the screws (x3) that attach the controller to the closeout panel.
    2.5 Nm (1.8 lbs-ft)

    Note
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 socket
  5. Secure the clip that attaches the LH rear window regulator to the LH rear door closeout panel.
  6. Feed the door release cable through the LH rear door closeout panel, and then secure the clip.

    Note
    Lubricate the cable grommet to aid in installation.
  7. Position the LH rear door window motor onto the back of the closeout panel, and then secure the tabs that attach the motor to the closeout panel.
  8. Install the screws (x3) that attach the LH rear window motor to the LH rear door closeout panel.
    1.8 Nm (1.3 lbs-ft)

    • Torx T30 socket
  9. Install the screws (x10) that attach the LH rear door closeout panel to the LH rear door.
    1.8 Nm (1.3 lbs-ft)

    Note
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T25 socket
  10. Connect the LH falcon wing door protection ECU electrical connector, and then engage the locking tab.
  11. Connect the LH falcon wing door air bag electrical connector, and then engage the orange locking tab.
  12. Connect the electrical connectors (x2) to the LH falcon wing door module.
  13. Install the clips (x7) that attach the harnesses and connectors to the LH rear door closeout panel.
  14. Install the LH rear door trim panel. See Panel - Door Trim - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
  15. Install the LH rear door trim decor. See Decor - Trim - Rear Door - LH (Remove and Replace).
  16. Install the LH rear door trim lower garnish. See Garnish - Lower - Door Trim - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
  17. Connect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  18. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  19. Close the hood.
  20. Calibrate the rear doors.
