Module - Front Door Controller - LH (Remove and Replace)

Remove
- Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
- Disconnect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
- Remove the LH front door trim decor. See Decor - Trim - Front Door - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the LH front door trim panel. See Panel - Door Trim - Front - LH (Remove and Replace).

Disconnect the electrical connectors
(x3), and then release the clip that attaches the harness to the LH front door
controller module.

Remove the bolts (x4) that attach the
LH front door controller module to the LH front door assembly, and then remove the
module from the assembly.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 8mm socket
Install

Position the LH front door controller module onto the LH front door assembly, and
then install the bolts (x4) that attach the module to the assembly.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 8mm socket

Connect the electrical connectors (x3), and then secure the clip that attaches the
harness to the LH front door controller module.
- Connect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
- Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).

Calibrate the rear doors.
NoteIf the "Calibration Needed" message appears on the vehicle touchscreen, touch and hold Calibrate to calibrate the rear doors.
- Release the IP service panel.
- Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle.
- In Toolbox, click the Actions tab, and then search for "Service-Redeploy".

Click SERVICE CAN
REDEPLOY, and then click Run and allow the routine
to complete.
NoteThe routine will state pass but the update will continue to run in the background. The UI will show update progress.NoteClick the "X" at the top right of window to close once complete.
- Reconnect Toolbox 3 to the vehicle.
- In toolbox, click the Actions tab, and then search for "BCFDM".

Click
Update_BCFDM, and then click Run and
allow the routine to complete.

- Disconnect Toolbox 3 and remove the laptop from the vehicle.

Install the IP service panel.
NoteSlide the panel forward engaging the datums, and then secure the tabs upward into the IP.
