1. Open the LH front door.
2. Lower both front windows.
3. Open the RH front door.
4. Move the RH front seat backward.
5. Remove RH front floor mat

   

6. Remove RH footwell cover
   Note

   3x magnets, 1x connector, 4x datums

   

   

7. Remove RH console side carpet
   Note

   11x clips, 2x datums

   

   

8. Remove RH front door sill trim panel
   Note

   8x clips, 3x datums

   

   

9. Remove RH IP end cap
   Note

   3x clips

   

10. Remove RH mid A-pillar trim
    Note

    2x clips, 3x datums, Release clips from upper A-pillar and IP sub assembly, Lift mid A-pillar trim out of lower A-pillar trim

    

    

    

11. Remove RH lower A-pillar trim
    Note

    1x bolt, T25, 5 Nm, 2x clips, 1x datum

    

    

    

12. Open the hood.

    

13. Power off the vehicle using the touchscreen.

    

14. Remove the rear underhood apron.

    

    

15. Disconnect the LV battery connector and First Responder Loop.

    

    

    

16. Remove fasteners securing RH knee air bag assembly to vehicle
    Note

    2x bolts, 10mm, 8 Nm, 1x clip, Discard fasteners after removal

    

17. Remove the RH knee air bag assembly from vehicle
    Note

    2x connectors, 1x clip, 6x tabs, Release 2x locking tab on air bag connector

    

    

18. Remove RH knee air bag cover brace
    Note

    2x patch bolts, E10, 8 Nm, Discard after removal

    

    

19. Remove knee air bag from RH knee air bag cover
    Note

    4x patch bolts, E10, 8 Nm, 5x tabs, Discard after removal, Rotate airbag out of cover

    

    

    

20. Secure knee airbag to RH knee air bag cover
    Note

    4x patch bolts, E10, 8 Nm, 5x tabs, Install new fasteners, Rotate airbag into cover

    

    

    

21. Install knee air bag cover brace
    Note

    2x patch bolts, E10, 8 Nm, Install new fasteners

    

    

22. Install RH knee air bag assembly onto vehicle
    Note

    2x connectors, 6x tabs, 1x clip, Hook tabs before fully seating, Use caution not to damage the connector/harness, Support the knee air bag while connecting the connector

    

    

    

23. Install fasteners securing RH knee air bag assembly to vehicle
    Note

    2x bolts, 10mm, 8 Nm, 1x clip

    

24. Install RH console side carpet
    Note

    11x clips, 2x datums

    

    

25. Install RH footwell cover
    Note

    3x magnets, 4x datums, 1x connector

    

    

26. Install RH lower A-pillar trim
    Note

    1x bolt, T25, 5 Nm, 2x clips, 1x datum

    

    

27. Install RH mid A-pillar trim
    Note

    2x clips, 3x datums, Verify weather seal is seated properly

    

    

    

28. Install RH IP end cap
    Note

    3x clips

    

29. Install RH front door sill trim panel
    Note

    8x clips, 3x datums

    

    

30. Install RH front floor mat

    

31. Connect the First Responder Loop and LV battery connector.

    

    

32. Install the rear underhood apron.

    

    

33. Close the hood.
34. Move the RH front seat to its original position.
35. Calibrate the RH falcon wing door.

    

36. Close the RH front door.
37. Calibrate the LH falcon wing door.

    

38. Raise both front windows.
39. Close RH front door
