- Open all four doors
- Lower all four windows
- Move LH front seat forward
- Move LH Monopost seat forward
- Move RH Monopost seat forward

Remove LH rear sill assembly
Note8x clips, 1x datum, 1 tab
- Open liftgate
- Remove trunk rear load floor
- Remove trunk pocket load floor
- Remove lower trunk pocket load floor

Remove trunk sill trim
Note4x clips, 2x datums
- Remove trunk carpet
-
Remove rear wall load support
Note4x push clips, 2x clips
- Remove trunk tub floor insulator
-
Remove LH lower C-pillar
Note17x clips
-
Disconnect LH C-pillar accelerometer
Note1x connector, Release red locking tab
- Fold LH 3rd row seat back into down position
-
Remove LH upper C-pillar trim
Note6x clips, 1x datum
-
Remove LH crush can bracket
Note5x clips
-
Remove LH soft trim pocket bracket
Note1x clips, 1 datum
-
Remove LH trunk side bracket
Note3x screws, T30, 2.5 Nm, 3x push clips
- Move the RH front seat forward.
- Remove 2nd row floor mat

Remove 2nd row mid floor board
Note5x clips, Recommend assistance, Tilt front edge upwards and remove in vertical position

Remove 2nd row rear floor board
Note2x clips, Recommend assistance

Remove LH upper c-pillar duct
Note1x stud,

Remove busbar duct assembly
Note2x bolts, 10mm, 2.5 Nm
- Raise LH 3rd row seat back into upright position
- Open charge port door
- Open the hood.
- Remove the rear underhood apron.
- Power off the vehicle using the touchscreen.
- Disconnect the LV battery connector and First Responder Loop.

Verify operation of multimeter
NoteSet multimeter to DC voltage, Confirm multimeter is properly measuring voltage by testing LV battery, Touch lightly and do not damage terminals
- Remove all items from pockets and ensure not wearing metal items

Inspect HV insulating gloves

- Put on HV insulating gloves and leather over gloves

Verify there is no high voltage present at the charge port
NoteMake sure to wear PPE (HV gloves, safety glasses) when working on high voltage component, Measure B+ to B-, and B+ to Ground (use trunk striker as a ground for the isolation check) If voltage is greater than 10V, Pack contactors are not open or welded, Stop work and reach out to Service Engineering,
- Remove leather over gloves and HV insulating gloves

Release 3rd row seat harness trays from seat frame
Note4x push clips

Disconnect 3rd row seat assembly connections
Note5x connectors, Release tab and slide connector housing off tray to remove

Remove 3rd row seat cushion from vehicle
Note2x clips, While pushing down on cushion, feel for rocket clips and disengage locking tabs, Clips located on both ends of seat cushion, Feed cushion harnesses below 3rd row seat backs, Place cushion on protected surface

Remove bolts securing front side 3rd row seat rails to body
Note4x bolts, 11mm, 37 Nm

Remove bolts securing rear side 3rd row seat rails to body
Note4x bolts, 11mm , 37 Nm

Remove 3rd row seat assembly from vehicle

Remove LH inner reinforcement from body
Note9x bolts, T40, 27 Nm, Use a T40 socket with 8mm wrench to loosen the lower 2 bolts to avoid removal of 3rd row seat frame, Then use hex bit ratchet to remove bolts fully, All other bolts can be removed with 1/4in. Dr. ratchet and 1/4in. Dr. T40 socket

Remove bolt securing HV inlet safety cover
Note1x bolt, 8mm, 6 Nm, Discard bolt after removal

Remove charge port harness from body stud
Note1x nut, 10mm, 6 Nm

Remove HV inlet safety cover from charge port assembly
Note2x securing tabs, Release tab on each side of cover to remove

Remove busbar leads from charge port assembly
Note2x bolts, 11mm, 9 Nm, Nuts have captured washers
-
Remove bolt securing busbar HV connector lid
Note1x bolt, 10mm, 9 Nm

Remove bolts securing HV connector to DC FC header
Note2x bolts, 10mm, 9 Nm
- Remove HV connector from DC FC header
-
Remove busbar assembly from vehicle
NoteRecommend assistance, Remove busbar assembly from LH falcon door opening

Disconnect charge port harness from ECU
Note2x connectors

Remove charge port controller
Note1x bolt, 10mm, 4 Nm, 1x securing clip, Slide controller upward to remove

Remove charge port controller bracket
Note2x tabs, Slide bracket upwards to remove
-
Disconnect LH tail lamp
Note1x connector, Release red locking tab
-
Release LH body harness from low C-pillar body
Note3x connectors, 12x clips
-
Remove LH wheelhouse absorber from vehicle
NoteAvoid tearing the wheelhouse absorber by carefully clearing studs and bracket
-
Install LH wheelhouse absorber onto vehicle
NoteAvoid tearing the wheelhouse absorber by carefully aligning it studs and bracket

Install LH body harness to lower C-pillar body
Note3x connectors, 12x clips
-
Connect LH C-pillar accelerometer
Note1x connector, Engage red locking tab
-
Secure LH tail lamp connector
Note1x connector, Engage red locking tab

Install charge port controller bracket
Note2x tabs, Slide bracket downwards to install
-
Install charge port ECU
Note1x bolt, 10mm, 4 Nm, 1x securing clip, Slide ECU downward to engage securing clip

Install charge port harness onto body stud
Note1x nut, 10mm, 6 Nm
-
Connect charge port harness to ECU
Note2x connectors

Clean charge port assembly busbar contact surface of residual penetrox
NoteUse plastic trim tool to push IPA wipe down between plastic divider, Allow 1 minute dry time
-
Verify charge port studs are torqued to proper specification
Note2x studs, T10, 2 Nm

Clean DC FC header contact surface of residual Penetrox
NoteAllow 1 minute dry time after wiping away Penetrox, New busbar comes with penetrox applied to HV connector

Position busbar assembly into vehicle for installation
NoteNew busbar assembly comes with Penetrox A-13 applied on HV connector side

Apply Penetrox to backside of busbar leads
NoteApply 2 drops of Penetrox A-13 about 5mm in diameter to either side of the hole on both leads, Spread evenly to verify the contact surface is fully covered

Install HV connector onto DC FC header
NoteVerify connector is fully seated

Install bolts securing HV connector to DC FC header
Note2x bolts, 10mm, 9 Nm
-
Install busbar leads onto charge port assembly
Note2x nuts, 11mm, 9 Nm, Nuts have captured washers
-
Inspect HV insulating gloves
NoteCheck gloves for damage prior to use, Refer to service document TN-15-92-003, for information on inspecting HV gloves. https://service.teslamotors.com/documents?model=&keys=TN-15-92-003&vehicle_system=&sort_by=field_date_submitted&sort_order=DESC
- Put on HV insulating gloves and leather over gloves

Perform Hioki resistance test at each HV joint from HV busbar lead to charge port stud
Note2x HV joints, Measure both joints at the highlighted locations, The acceptable resistance is between 0.050 mΩ (50 μΩ) and 0.270 mΩ (270 μΩ).If the resistance is greater than 0.270 mΩ (270 μΩ), stop work and escalate the Toolbox session. If the resistance is lower than 0.050 mΩ (50 μΩ), reposition the probes and measure again. If the resistance is repeatedly between 0.00 mΩ and 0.050 mΩ (50 μΩ), Hioki test passed, proceed to next step.

Note2x HV joints, Measure both joints at the highlighted locations, The acceptable resistance is between 0.050 mΩ (50 μΩ) and 0.195 mΩ (195 μΩ).If the resistance is greater than 0.195 mΩ (195 μΩ), stop work and escalate the Toolbox session. If the resistance is lower than 0.050 mΩ (50 μΩ), reposition the probes and measure again. If the resistance is repeatedly between 0.00 mΩ and 0.050 mΩ (50 μΩ), Hioki test passed, proceed to next step
- Remove leather over gloves and HV insulating gloves

Install bolt securing HV connector lid
Note1x bolt, 10mm, 9 Nm

Install HV inlet safety cover onto charge port assembly
Note2x securing tabs

Install bolt securing HV inlet safety cap to charge port assembly
Note1x bolt, 8mm, 6 Nm, Install new bolt

Install busbar duct assembly
Note2x bolts, 10mm, 2.5 Nm
-
Install LH upper c-pillar duct
Note1x stud

Install 2nd row mid floor board
Note5x clips, Recommend assistance

Install 2nd row rear floor board
Note2x clips, Align clips with, Recommend assistance
- Install 2nd row floor mat
-
Install LH inner reinforcement to body
Note9x bolts, T40, 27 Nm, To avoid removal of 3rd row seat frame, Use hex bit ratchet to fully seat bottom 2 bolts prior to torque

Install LH trunk side trim bracket
Note3x bolts, T30, 2.5 Nm, 3x push clip

Install LH upper C-pillar trim
Note11x clips

Install LH lower C-pillar
Note17x clips

Install LH soft trim pocket bracket
Note2x clips

Install LH crush can bracket
Note5x clips

Install rear wall load floor support
Note4x push clips, 2x clips
-
Install rear trunk sill trim
Note4x clips, Make sure to seat liftgate seal properly

Install 3rd row seat assembly into vehicle

Install bolts securing rear side 3rd row seat rails to body hand tight
Note4x bolts, 11mm, 37 Nm, Torque at later step

Install bolts securing front side 3rd row seat rails to body
Note4x bolts, 11mm, 37 Nm

Install 3rd row seat cushion
Note2x securing tabs, Feed cushion harness's below 3rd row seat backs

Connect 3rd row seat assembly connections and secure to brackets
Note11x connectors, Slide connectors onto bracket tabs to secure

Install 3rd row seat harness trays
Note4x push clips
- Install trunk carpet
- Install trunk tub floor insulator
- Install lower trunk pocket load floor
- Install trunk pocket load floor
- Install trunk rear load floor
- Connect the First Responder Loop and LV battery connector.
- Install the rear underhood apron.
- Close the hood.
- Close liftgate
- Verify operation of vehicle charging system
- Close charge port door
- Move LH Monopost seat to original position

Install LH rear sill assembly
Note8x clips, 1x datum, 1 tab
- Calibrate the LH falcon wing door.
- Calibrate the RH falcon wing door.
- Move the LH front seat to its original position.
- Raise all four windows
- Close the LH front door.
