Bracket - Tie Down - Rear Trunk - RH (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open the liftgate.
  2. Remove the rear trunk load floor. See Trunk Load Floor - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  3. Release the clips (x4) that attach the LH trunk sill side trim to the vehicle.

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Plastic trim tool
  4. Release the clips (x4) that attach the RH trunk sill side trim to the vehicle.

  5. Remove the trunk sill trim. See Trim - Sill - Trunk (Remove and Replace).
  6. Release the push clips (x4) and clips (x2) that attach the rear wall load support to the vehicle.

    • Clip pry tool
    • Plastic trim tool
  7. Release the RH rear trunk tie down ring that attaches the side trim carpet to the tie down.
  8. Remove the bolts (x2) that secure the RH rear trunk tie down to the bracket.

    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • Torx T45 socket
  9. Remove the bolt that secures the RH rear trunk side trim to the tie down bracket.

    • Torx T45 socket
  10. Remove the bolts (x2) that secure the RH rear trunk tie down bracket to the vehicle, and then remove the bracket from the vehicle.

    • 10 mm socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench

Install

  1. Position the RH rear trunk tie down bracket on the vehicle, and then install the bolts (x2) that secure the bracket to the vehicle.

    • 10 mm socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • Ratchet/torque wrench
  2. Install the bolt that secures the RH rear trunk side trim to the tie down bracket.

    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • Torx T45 socket
  3. Install the bolts (x2) that secure the RH rear trunk tie down to the bracket.

    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • Torx T45 socket
  4. Install the RH rear trunk tie down ring that attaches the side trim carpet to the tie down.
  5. Install the push clips (x4) and clips (x2) that attach the rear wall load support to the vehicle.
  6. Install the trunk sill trim. See Trim - Sill - Trunk (Remove and Replace).
  7. Install the clips (x4) that attach the RH trunk sill side trim to the vehicle.
  8. Install the clips (x4) that attach the LH trunk sill side trim to the vehicle.
  9. Install the rear trunk load floor. See Trunk Load Floor - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  10. Close the liftgate.
