12V Power Socket - Center Console (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open the RH front door and lower the RH front window.
  2. Move the front passenger seat rearward.
  3. Fully retract the center console lid, cupholder, and sliding tray into the locked position.
  4. Release the clips (x4) that attach the center console service panel to the center console assembly, and then pull the panel upward to access the electrical harness.

    Note
    Use a 90 degree plastic trim tool.
  5. Disconnect the electrical connectors (x3), and then release the clip that attaches the electrical connector to the center console service panel.
  6. Remove the screws (x3) that attach the front USB hub to the center console service panel assembly, and then remove the USB hub from the assembly.

    Note
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 socket
  7. Remove the screws (x2) that attach the 12V power socket to the center console service panel, and then remove the power socket from the assembly.
    1.5 Nm (1.1 lbs-ft)

    • Torx T20 socket

Install

  1. Position the 12V power socket onto the center console service panel, and then install the screws (x2) that attach the power socket to the service panel.
    1.5 Nm (1.1 lbs-ft)

  2. Position the front USB hub to the center console service panel assembly, and then install the screws (x3) that attach the USB hub to the assembly.

  3. Position the center console service panel into the center console assembly, connect the electrical connectors (x3), and then secure the clip that attaches the electrical connector to the service panel.
  4. Secure the clips (x4) that attach the center console service panel assembly to the center console.

    Note
    Make sure the connector X1131 and X881 is positioned to the right of the main harness for USB hub clearance.
  5. Close the center console.
  6. Move the front passenger seat to the original position.
  7. Raise the RH front window and close the RH front door.
