Harness - Center Console (Remove and Replace)

Open all four doors
Move LH front seat forward
Move RH front seat forward
Release console back panel assembly

Note
6x clips, 7x datums, Disengage bottom clips last and pull rearward due to alignment
Remove console back panel assembly

Note
1x connector, Connector lock for lamp located underneath bracket
Release LH and RH rear console carrier

Note
2x bolts, 10mm, 12 Nm
Remove center console rear cupholder assembly screws

Note
6x screws, T20, 1 Nm
Release center console rear cupholder assembly

Note
3x clips, 2x datums, Pull straight down at rear of assembly and rotate datums out of center console lower frame
Remove center console rear cupholder assembly

Note
1x connector
Move RH front seat backward
Move LH front seat backward
Access front center console storage compartment

Note
Fully retract center console lid, cupholder, and sliding tray into locked position
Release center console service panel

Note
4x clips, Release clips and pull panel up to access harness, Use 90 degree plastic trim tool
Release center console service panel connectors and remove assembly

3x connectors, 1x clip
Release phone dock

Note
4x clips, 2x datums, Pull up at bottom and swing out from under instrument panel
Remove phone dock

3x connectors, 1x clip, Take caution to release connector locks before pulling straight out of each socket to avoid damage
Release IP service panel

2x tabs, 4x datums, Release top tabs and slide rearward
Release diagnostic and CAN harnesses from IP service panel

Release LH center console lower bracket from IP carrier

Remove RH footwell cover

Remove RH console side carpet

Release center console connectors to body harness

Recline LH front seat backrest
Recline RH front seat backrest
Remove console assembly

Lift at rear, rotate front from under IP and out passenger door, Take care not to scratch seats, IP or inner door panel, Recommend assistance if needed
Remove LH and RH console side panels

17x clips each side
Release decor harness from console assembly

Note
6x connectors, 2x clips, 2x connectors wrapped in felt tape, Wrap connecters in felt tape after re-assembly
Release decor from console assembly

Note
18x screws, T20, 1 Nm
Remove rear bright strip screws

Note
2x screws, T20, 1 Nm, Removal of screws allows flexibility to disengage decor bright
Remove console decor assembly

Note
6x datums, 1x connector, Lift up at front and slide out of rear bright strip
Release console airwave cap

Note
6x screws, T20, 1 Nm, 1x connector, 3x tabs, Pull airwave cap straight back then to the right to access connector
Remove airwave cap

Note
1x screw, T20, 1 Nm, Release ground harness with screw
Release console harness from airwave assembly and actuators

Note
5x connectors, 1x clip
Release console airwave assembly

Note
5x screws, T20, 1 Nm, Pull airwave assembly straight rearward and rotate to the left to access air duct temp sensor harness
Remove console airwave assembly

Note
1x connector, 1x clip, 2x datums, Pull airwave assembly rearward at the top then out of the datums in the lower center console frame
Remove console armrest assembly

Note
6x bolts, T20, 1 Nm, Remove bolts and slide armrest assembly rearward
Remove the fasteners for center console storage bin assembly

Note
16x bolts, T20, 1Nm
Remove the center console storage bin assembly from the center console base

Note
1x connector, Press in on side and carefully lift up, unplug console light during removal
Remove harness from center console frame

Install center console harness to center console

Install center console storage bin to assembly

Install fasteners to center console storage bin

Note
16x bolts, T20, 1 Nm, ensure shorter chrome headed bolts are on the rear storage bin to prevent damage to center console
Install console armrest assembly

Note
6x bolts, T20, 1 Nm, Slide armrest down and align arms with console assembly
Install console airwave assembly

Note
1x connector, 1x clip, 2x datums, Connect airwave duct temp sensor and secure harness before install, Engage both datums at bottom of center console frame
Secure console airwave assembly

Note
5x screws, T20, 1 Nm
Secure console harness to airwave assembly and actuators

Note
5x connectors, 1x clip
Secure airwave cap

1x screw, T20, 1 Nm
Install console airwave cap

4x screws, T20, 1 Nm, 1x connector, 3x tabs, Secure display connector, align airwave cap with console assembly and insert straight forward
Position center console service panel, Secure center console service panel connectors

Secure center console service panel

4x clips, 3x datums, Ensure connector X1131 and X881 is positioned to the right of the main harness for USB hub clearance, Engage datums at bottom of service panel then secure clips
Install console decor assembly

Note
6x datums, 1x connector, Slide into rear bright strip and down into console assembly, Ensure all 6 datums engage and bright strip is aligned
Install rear bright strip screws

Note
2x screws, T20, 1 Nm, Confirm alignment of decor bright with rear bright trim
Secure decor to console assembly

Note
18x screws, T20, 1 Nm
Secure decor harness to console assembly

Note
6x connectors, 2x clips, 2x connectors wrapped in felt tape, Wrap connecters in felt tape after re-assembly
Install LH and RH console side panels

Note
17x clips each side
Install console assemby

Note
Carefully maneuver front of assembly under and into IP carrier and lower rear into place, Recommend assistance if needed
Secure LH center console lower bracket to IP carrier

1x bolt, 10mm, 10 Nm
Secure RH center console lower bracket to IP carrier

1x bolt, 10mm, 10 Nm
Secure center console connectors to body harness

4x connectors, Ensure all connector locks engage
Secure console carrier center bracket

2x bolts, 10mm, 12 Nm
Install RH console side carpet

Install LH outboard footwell cover

Secure diagnostic and CAN harnesses to IP service panel

Install phone dock connections

Move LH front seat forward
Raise LH front seat backrest
Move RH front seat forward
Raise RH front seat backrest
Install center console rear cupholder assembly

Secure center console rear cupholder assembly

3x clips, 2x datums, Position datums and rotate assembly up into rear center console frame
Install center console rear cupholder assembly screws

Note
6x screws, T20, 1 Nm
Secure LH and RH rear console carrier

Note
2x bolts, 10mm, 12 Nm
Install console back panel assembly

Secure console back panel assembly

Note
6x clips, 7x datums, Engage bottom clips first due to forward facing alignment
Move RH front seat to original position
Move LH front seat to original position
Close all four doors
